that is incorrect.
If am a developer and I make a design choice and I put in my specs 'player must see thru walls' and I give it to my QA team and they come back telling me 'being able to see behind walls is an error' and they tell me what you just said I am going to have them fired.
They do not choose design choices. If my INTENTION is to jump off a cliff, me doing so is not an error, it is my INTENTION.
guys..step back a second and think on what advantage it is for you personally to continue this sillyness I mean really isnt there better ways to get your rocks off?
Only thing incorrect is your opinion here.
Again a QA/QC team´s job is to test the flow of a game as well test for bugs and if the flow is disrupted by something then their job is to report it back and tell them that this particular thing does not work.
But let´s take the job description from EA
Quality Assurance Testers (“QA Testers”) perform a vital role in game development: testing, analyzing, and recording, any flaws or “bugs.” These refinements ultimately lead to higher quality and better playability of the finished game. The job involves: testing the game in a systematic way, analyzing the game's performance against the designer's intentions, identifying and reporting problems, and suggesting improvements. However, it also involves creativity and ingenuity, which is used to figure how to ‘break’ the game in different and unique ways. In effect, QA Testers act as the game's first audience by reporting on playability and identifying any aspects that could be improved. Testers are responsible for finding these bugs in a game before it goes public and assuring quality in the final product.
And I think everyone can see that the specific feature is something that disrupts the playability and could be improved.
