@RiotRing I don't understand people like you. They aren't going to stop, they have no reason to, it sells fantastically every time they make one (this one in particular is going to be mindbendingly popular), they will make console games, but they aren't abandoning handheld games for years to come , and perhaps they always will have the handheld games, they're a staple.

first off now there is something like 700-800 pokemon, and everytime pokemon are created, more possibilities are made. Any pokemon fan knows about types and type combinations, so everytime pokemon are made, the game becomes that much more strategic and unique. If they had stuck with the original 151 from kanto and never made any more, the pokemon series would have been dead long ago.And would have been really stale.

@YearoftheSnake5 @mkdms14 Welllllll, according to my brother, from his friend, sites like this usually won't give a superb score, unless the company pays them or "sponsors" / "donates" toward it. I realize this is probably controversial, but, I definitely think it's possible. I myself have noticed that nothing Nintendo gets over a 8 now adays (usually that is, and also 8 isn't bad, but I know games are better)

@adsparky I feel sorry for you, this game is every pokemon fan's dream, with the only thing topping it being a full blown MMORPG

The game will be great, there's still nothing wrong with pokemon's base, it's fine as it is, and is what makes pokemon different from other games, so get over it. (8 is better then I thought it would get on this site fyi)

@elementonly08 Yep, and not to bash the vita (this time meheheh) but when it comes to handheld games, pokemon takes the cake, nothing truly stacks up to it

And I agree, I play it for the battle mechanics, the other stuff is frosting on top of the cake (love the idea of character customization)

@Tylendal @johnners2981 You know it's funny, I never hear people calling character customization "window-dressing" or the all popular "gimmick" in a MMORPG, which pokemon is slowing coming to be it seems (which would be awesome if they do so), point is, people need to stop labeling everything as "gimmicks" just because it comes from a long standing game, that they would like to see go away rather then improve

@johnners2981 *shrug* It's my opinion that all pokemon ever needs is a graphics upgrade and new functions, the combat is perfect, and I hope that they never abandon it
