The font thing irks me too. Some of the dynamic themese just don't go with the fonts provided, making the text difficult to see.

MACs are wonderful computers with advantages overwindows based PCs.

Video editing, photoshopping, design work in general is smoother on the MACs.

Smoother how?

Allright you caught me. I've never done any serious work on a MAC (net browsing). I just thought it was the general consensus, or maybe it's just an old argument that MAC users fall back on.

Any experienced MAC and WIN user that can shed some light on the matter?

It used to be true at one point. Since at least CS, support under Mac has gotten more windows-like in terms of the interface. A lot of users seem miffed by this as a side note, feeling that the Mac isn't getting proper treatment. I don't notice a real difference myself, other than the occasional crash on my windows box.

As a current iMac owner, there's no comparison Wintel machines win hands down.

The closest thing Apple has to the modularity of a PC is the Mac Pro, which isn't all that great for the price. The components aren't cutting edge, either. (ex. they're still stuck AFAIK on USB 2 and refuse to play catch up.)

Nothing game related. But:

  • Amazon Kindle*
  • Apple iPad*
  • Motorola S10 HD bluetooth headset
  • Amazon, Best Buy, and iTunes gift cards
  • Clothes

TThe Kindle and iPad were spoilers and things I already knew about. It's weird, when you reach a certain age, Christmas isn't a surprise anymore. Anywho, I was on the fence with the iPad from the beginning, so it'll be returned

I was happy with the headphones, mostly because they were from my brother, who is extremely tight with his money and under normal curcumstances, wouldn't drop that kind of cash. So that was unexpected.

Gift cards are cool with me. I can get what I'd like and not settle for one of those sweaters with a reindeer on it that would tell the world I have no man-card or something,

And clothes - I need them.

It was nice.

I've gotta pair (move + nav). I'm impressed with the tecnology but aside from Sports Champions, Tumble, and Top Darts, I feel that the overall software is lacking right now.
But in a way, that's a good thing. Quality over quantity, I suppose.

Have mixed feelings with the camera though. Still images have way too much image noise while the video feed is relatively crisp. Dunno why this is.

I play from time to time, though I've stayed in Suppresion for the most part (selling myself short here).

The community went downhill after Beta. I'm hardpressed to find people that don't lone wolf or have a mic. Most games, at least with Valor, things are dead silent comm wise. It's why I stick in to the basic team deathmatch. I figure, if people don't want to team up or communicate, what's the point to playing Sabotage or any of the other modes?

As far as customization, it's just right, I think; not too deep and not too shallow. For more info check out this thread: http://forums.mag.com/t5/MAG-Discussion/Ultimate-MAG-Guide/td-p/142465

The camera angle that the Eye uses is pretty forgiving and it can also adjust up or down. Provided you have the space to play you won't have issues.

If you're limited on space, say in a bedroom, I'd go ahead and mount the camera on the top as you'll get the optimal experience that way.

I should have been a bit more specific in my original reply. Sorry about that.
