These look nice, but I just don't know if i can bring myself to jump on yet another PC when i get home from working on a PC for 9-11 hours a day. It's kinda nice to just sit on the couch with a console controller and relax.
The Kinect is very cool in theory, and has kinda worked on a game here and there - but it's still not responsive enough for even most casual games. The lag is STILL horrendous, and the voice rec feels like an afterthought that never got finished.
I'm still a (sort of) fan of the Kinect, but i don't think it'll be viable for most people until the next iteration at best.
Sharing computational power among distant computers, aka "cloud computing", has been going on for many, many years. Those of you saying things like "balogna" sound like those clowns who still insist the world is flat.
@Born_Lucky I'm pretty sure that's nowhere near what anyone is saying. This isn't really that complicated, Born, as it's been done for many years now outside of gaming.
But by all means, call anything that confuses you "hocus pocus".
