I think too many people get caught up on the word game. These are not just games, these are video games. We use the term "video game" for a wide range of interative media because it's the name that stuck. Video games are evolving and our definitions of "video games" must evolve and broaden as well.

PC use in general lends itself to a certain amount of social dysfunction. These machines have become so pervasive, people use them to do their banking, taxes, writing, research, running a business, gaming, communicating, dating, job hunting, shopping, buying and selling etc to the point where never having to do anything "face to face" they become virtual e-persons, living vicariously thru their computer with facebook, message boards, ebay, mmo's and reality shows. Folks lose touch with their physical selves and what it means to be an organic creature.

I really want to mod Fallout 3 but I have it for the 360, it would be a waste of money to get a copy for the PC. Plus my PC sucks, the best game it can handle has to be Myst (which happens to be one of my favorite games).

Your opinions are all well and good, but the advantages of PC gaming outweigh the negatives that you've listed, so it's not as simple as sayingconsoles>PC, because we can come up with our own list of disadvantages that the consoles have that is twice as long.
