I searched for 5 minutes and can't find the start up for Sonic on the SEGA megadrive, the guy saying SEGAAAAA! brings back way more memories than the PS1 start up screen. bobbetybob

Oooh! I remebmer that! :P Playing Batman and Sparkster and Kamikaze the kung-fu squirrel! And that frightening electronic voice that came out of nowhere...''SEGAAAA!!... God, our generation grew up in the best of times. :)

Graphics are always a plus, but I'd prefer graphics look more inspired and stylized than realistic. Games like Uncharted and Halo take more realistic game and add a dash of their own look and charm, which is what I wish more devs would do. I always dig RPG's because most of them have these gorgeous and varied environments to explore, even if the graphics aren't Crysis level.

Thats why I hide my old JRPG collection whenever I've got some mates over...sure their hero's blur the line between sexes and make my eyes twitch, but damn are some of those Vistas awe inspiring- Entire city's buildt out of chrome silver, floating islands, magical airships etc. good eye candy :)

Those ''Queers of Warm vs George Foreman Grillzone 2 vs Get back in the kitchen and start cookin' Mama'' etc. Graphics threads seem to be a dime a dozen here (Duh). But do we really care about the looks that much?

Personally I find that as long as the visuals arn't ladden with glitchs and bugs, and that they serve the atmosphere of the game I could'nt care less about pixal counting and Console comparison's that reveal the Xbox verson of ''Assassins breed excessivly'' has a slightly shorter drawbridge distance.

Don't get me wrong. When I first glimpled Crysis on a H.D moniter my face did melt a little, but then again I felt that Overlord 2 was a real looker because its characters looked like the love child of Monty Python and J.R.R Tolkein...and its ''Graphix engine'' looks like its run on steam and a hand crank! :P

So how do you guys really feel about it all, any underated favorites? Does a game have to charm you with its wiggle before you give it a go? Or are those cockfight threads really an accurate reflection of the attitudes here? ;)

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"][QUOTE="ImOldGreg"][QUOTE="bobbetybob"] Woman has magic hair and gun shoes, woman kills baddies with said hair and shoes. I think that's pretty much the gist of it.

Women also gets naked when killing said baddies...and giggles. :D

Gamer starts to sweat and hopes parents don't walk in.

Gamer then oogles the pretty british virtual girl until he can't look real women in the eyes again... :( (happened to me once...Damn Ninja Gaiden and my self respect)

[QUOTE="Im_single"][QUOTE="bobbetybob"]Bayonetta has been kicking ass in terms of review scores, wish the early demo worked on my console = (. Sin and Punishment looks to be a big hit as well judging by that score, very naice.bobbetybob

You know, I've actually thought about looking into Bayonetta, I saw that one of her special attack's summons a ''Hellsing'esk Demon dog'' and I thought ''Oh lawdy am I in heaven!'' :P Cheers on the Crackdown info too, looks to be a good replacement for the aging-not-so-well [Prototype]. Hell I bargined the first one just for the ''keys of the city'' mode! :) ORBZ!! :D

[QUOTE="beast667"]THPS is part of the reason i started skating. Admitting that makes me feel lame, but I've had a lot of good times because of that game.Silenthps
THPS2 is what got me into skating :P watching all those vids you got for completing the careers did anywayz

Ditto, at the hieght of my videogame induced career in skateboarding I could pull a ''mute to indy''! That was until I threw on a bit of ''gaming carriage'' and split the board in half!

Playstation 1...a decade ago when my younger self, my sister and the ethnic boy from across the street would waste hours away on Tony hawks 1, 2 and 3. Such fine memories aswell, for me its just one of those franchises that summed up gaming culture in the 90s. Hell I remember being frightened by the 2D Grey Alien sprite in the Roswell map...the way it would stare into your soul and whimper ''help me...'' :(

While this practise is indeed nefarious...I would hardly dub it ''Sinking to a NEW low'' sadly. :?
