Hey. I know alot about computers, but Crysis has me stumped, I have the latest drivers for my GPU and I have no malware or viruses, my setup is: 9800M GTX, Intel 2.8Ghz Core 2 Duo Processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and a 320GB 7, 200 RPM hard drive. I have searched everywhere for answers but nobody has any. My question is.....Where I first purchased Crysis I got a solid 35-40 FPS in all environments including the alien/ice, but yesterday I turned my laptop on and booted up Crysis I started playing and it was like I was watching a slideshow. I tried both MP and SP and still the same result. So I went to System Settings and picked "Optimal Settings", whenever I did that(once or twice) it always put it to high. The computer put the res down to 800x600 and turned specs to low. I play with everything on high and 1680x1050 res. I really need help because I don't want anything to happen to my PC or its capabilities.

Your card can play most games but I am very sad to report that the 9000 doesn't have extensive pixel shaders, aka it doesn't have pixel shader2.0 in it so you can't play NFS Pro Street without a better card. I might be wrong though because the 9xxx series is supposed to have pixel shader implemented by now. Hope this helps

Pretty sure he is not BSing you, I would make sure the machine is good before you buy though, like if anything is messed up. The 8800gt can play Crysis, I am asuming you are using a desktop so the 8800gt is more powerful than the 8800m gt, the RAM probably won't be a problem, motherboard is fine, and the processor is also fine the thing about 30+on high though is BS. You can probably get a solid 35fps on medium with that setup. Hope this helped!

Both of them can run Mercenaries very well since the graphics cards and processors are fairly nice. Enjoy the game=)

If you're talking about Red Alert 3 then you should be able to play very nicely but I would suggest upgrading your RAM if you are going to be playing more games. For a sec I thought you were asking about Rocket Arena 3......

From what I have gathered the 7900 gs is a well designed GPU and should be able to run better than an xbox, or at least just as good.
