A few bosses are very difficult, especially if you don't know what to expect, but grinding does help a lot. I also found that things become FAR easier on the second playthrough with the augments you gather the first time through.

It will no doubt be a great game, but I think it will be too similar to be better than the original. Critically, it will be worse because it's more of the same and probably won't bring enough new ideas/content to the table. I would hazard a metascore guess of around 92.

I'll probably get it bundled with Wii Sports Resort, and hopefully by then the price of GST/VT2009 will have dropped, so I'll get one of these games as well. I still can't decide which tennis game to get though...

As much as this kills my childhood to say it; Sonic.

Mario Party, Crash and Spryo also spring to mind.

They're both very long games with a lot to do. To get all 120 stars on Galaxy will probably take far longer than gaining all of the extras in Super Paper Mario, and then you can play through a second time.

I wouldn't have thought it will be much different from the DS version in the single player, apart from some new levels and power-ups. For that reason, I see little point in buying it at this stage.

It was going very badly until the end, with the exception of Golden Sun DS. There was far too much of what we already saw last year with Wii Sports Resort. Iwata's speech and that new addon was by far the worst part. I was impressed by Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Metroid, but I'll give New Super Mario Bros. a miss.

Definitely a new platformer, but NOT a direct Galaxy sequel. I'd like to see the platform games move back to the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach's Castle as it was in SM64.
I wouldn't want a 2.5D Mario on the Wii; it should be left on the DS, though I wasn't really a fan of NSMB. Reggie has already said that Mario doesn't belong on the Wii Ware service, so that can be ruled out.

I can't see it being much of an improvement over last year's conference.

I think their main reveal will be Wii Fit Plus; from Nintendo's point of view it's the sequel to one of the best selling Wii games, why wouldn't they highlight this game? I'm thinking the other games on show will be Wii Sports Resort, Spirit Tracks, Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics, and Pikmin 3 if we're lucky.

Have you even tried any of those so called "awesome" games they're promising?

If you believe they're awesome look at Ninty's track record then look at HVS's. Compare and you'll see Ninty is still miles ahead

This. I wish people would stop praising HVS and The Conduit before it's even been released.
Nintendo know how to handle their core titles without the help of other developers; just because HVS are "hardcore" doesn't mean they make better games, they certainly won't have half the production values that Nintendo's core games do.
