Some of the people replying to this thread are missing the point.  Sure, a lot of times extra contents takes tons of extra work and therefore charging for it is ok.  In this particular case the makers of the game told MS they want the contents to be free to download.  MS said no way and is charging for content that is intended to reach the audience for free.

Based on that alone I will not buy these maps.  You tell MS what they can and cannot do with your wallets.  Buy these maps, they will do this again and again.  Wait till Sept. and get them for free anyway...that shows MS that you are not willing to be bullied around by them.

I have not played saint's row, so I can't comment on that.  Crackdown, however, is REALLY fun!

Yeah, the way activision has rolled out this release is absolute garbage.  Each song should be individually available so I don't have to buy songs I don't want to get one I do and should cost no more than $0.99 which is what iTunes charges for downloading an individual song.

 Boycott till they change it!

Is Hdmi worth it if you dont have a Hdtv that supports 1080p? hawshiemawshie

Nope, that is the only reason to update to HDMI.

Check your facts man.  Most "new" HDTVs do NOT have a vga connection.  Most of them are dropping the VGA and going with HDMI since that is what is being supported by Hollywood.

First of all when you do quick match the game searches for the first available games it finds.  I would venture to guess that there are more people hosting matches in the US than in NZ.  Second your internet connection blows which is likely the problem in your case.

I have played tons of Halo 2 with people from the UK with little to no lag and I live in the dead center of the US.  So, the international playing isn't the problem.

The quick answer to your question is yes, surround sound is definitely worth it.  Makes your gaming experience significantly more immersive.  You should definitely get one.  The hard part is deciding what to buy.  The way you are going to get the absolutely best system is to buy it piece by piece.  I.e. get a quality receiver, speakers, sub, speaker wire, etc.

There are some great all in one systems out there too, that are much cheaper but nothing will sound as good as putting together a quality component system.  Also, the only way to get full 5.1 is to use the optical cable connection, so make sure whatever you buy has that type of connector and you will need to pick up any old optical cable since your 360 doesn't come with one.  (the connector is on the back of the video/audio cabling to your 360.  It looks like a little square).

As far as PC speaker systems go, I have the Klipsch promedia 5.1 ultra on my PC and it is KILLER!!  The only trouble is, unless they changed the connection interface since I bought mine, you will have to buy a separate connection box to hook, your 360 to it properly since it is designed specifically for PCs.  There are others you don't have to do this for.

Honestly though, you are better off buying something designed for your TV, then you will be all set up for Surround Sound movies too.
