@itsnota2mer: Exactly, he follows this up with the example that if he told you a bunch of soldiers or gang banger were going to die, we all accept that horrible thing as part of the "plan" but that if he tells everyone that "just one little old Mayor will die, Everyone loses their minds!"
I actually thought this story was a fitting end for Loki's story. He finally made the transition from thinking like a selfish, self-important middle-schooler about "his throne" and his "glorious purpose" to realizing the real burden of leadership and accepting that he alone could fill this role. A role that looked very different from what he previously envisioned and that comes without the pomp and circumstance and heroic admiration of his station.
@rizenstrom: Exactly, MS has been saying for a long time that they don't consider Sony a competitor any longer. I'm confused about why people still think MS is in the Xbox business. They aren't. They are in the Gamepass business now and exclusivity will most likely be to Gamepass, not Xbox...which is why all the current "exclusives" are also available on PC.
I'm sure both games will be good, but once again I'll probably spend more time with BF3 than MW3. I tend to have more fun with BF simply because I don't die every 10 seconds, but that's just me.
@sgtstrungout Social games are for casual gamers who might not otherwise play video games at all. They are good for the industry because they are helping to mainstream it. They'd only become posers if they started calling themselves "gamers" and only played Mafia Wars...or some such. I'd categorize game players into 3 distinct categories. 1. Casual gamers, 2. Gamers, and 3. The hardcore. I used to fit into category 3 but as I've aged and have more "adult" responsibilities I have less time for that and now I'd put myself in category 2. I still play games on 3 different platforms but just don't have the time to skill develop to the point of being a dominator in multiplayer any more.
I don't see any reason to do it just because you can or because it is the "in" thing to do. If it enhances the game then I say go for it, if it does not enhance the game in some way then skip it.
