The distance detection was already borked. This just makes it worse, continuing the trend set six months ago.

Honestly, I wouldn't credit Pokemon Go with anything. It was huge, but it was also so disappointing in the long run that it may have turned more people away from the franchise than it drew in.

@hawkensha: Bethesda is the publisher in this case, but not the developer.

It depends on the mods you were using, too. I only had the official High Res Texture Packs installed, and while I still got the warning in SE, I was able to load the save just fine.

@el_swanno: I don't doubt he'd pull it off, but he's probably booked for the next decade with Marvel commitments.

@jellyman68: There's the problem. Users in large cities and other densely populated areas have a significant advantage. There are more stops, more spawns, more gyms, etc. Rural areas and, to an extent, suburbs have next to nothing.

Man, context makes a big difference here. He's saying that won't change in the classic games, the ones that have already been released, but it could change going forward.
