the DSi is cool, ton of features, but i don't really think i would use them, as i have other devices for said multimedia features...i am mainly going to use the DS for games, so i was thinking of just getting a DS Lite, since it is 20 dollars cheaper, and the battery life is a lot better on the Lite

is there really a huge difference between the two? and if i am just going to be gaming on my DS, do i really need a DSi?

at least the Lite is backwards compatible, which is something i would like to have

nintendo will still support the DS, since its their best selling console...if they just up and stopped supporting it, u think people would be happy? they will still make games for it, as well. the future will be 3DS, but games will still be DS

especially the next Pokemon, Grey or whatever it will be called(like yellow, crystal, emerald, and platinum before it) they wouldnt make it a 3DS game, now would they? considering that that would exile everyone who has a DS, but no 3DS, that wants that version of Pokemon

You have to remember that the newer version of 3D has only been around a few years. Producers have just started to figure out how best to use the technology. When movies like The Abyss came out with these crazy new graphics (the "water monster") most movie producers still didn't know how to best use the new tech, and it was used to ill effect in several other movies before Cameron perfected it in Terminator 2 (the T-1000). We still have producers doing "after the fact 3D," such as they did with The Last Airbender and Clash of the Titans (both had horrible 3D), but hopefully this will end as studios realize they can't dupe people into believing that any 3D is good 3D.

You can wish 3D away all you want, but for now it's here to stay. Whether that's true in the more distant future is up to consumers, but so far their vote has been 'yes' to good 3D.

i suppose you are right, though i am not a fan of many of those movies you said, but again, i am not the majority, and again, i think that 3D is still just a quick fix, but again, just me, not majority
