TBF I don't think you'll be as hard up finding an affordable cooler for AM4 unless you are looking to buy on launch day. I'd imagine most of the cooler makers will be slipping AM4 brackets into the next production run of their coolers, such that they'll be ubiquitous within a year.

I did want to buy one at launch, may have to reconsider. Why would they launch a new CPU when there are no coolers for it? They better have a version of the 1800X that is bundled with the stock cooler. Cause thats the one I'm buying.

Already bought this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608045

Jesus, with heatsinks like that, who the hell needs water cooling?

yeah exactly, and you don't accidentally water all over your parts.

Which really sucks IMO, since I am not an OCer, and have always just prefered using the stock coolers, so now we have the added cost, and hassle of finding a 3rd party cooler that fits socket AM4, and doesn't break the bank. Joy.

This is good for the customer.

Aftermarket coolers are better than stock garbage.

It's usually best to read the QVL that comes with the board and to choose from there.

If you have the OEM license of windows you will need to buy a new key, if you have the retail version you can install it on your upgrade.

@GummiRaccoon: its not about taxing the fich, and just giving that cash to the poor. Its about taxing the rich more, and using that money to fund important things, like single payer healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Its not a robinhood tactic. But the biggest thing, is to get the gov to stop wasting most of the money it does have first.

Taxation is theft though.

howdoyoufigurethat?

Taking something that isn't yours is theft.

Money isn't real. If they don't spend it, it may as well not exist.

People should be focused on building more housing and improving living conditions, not focusing on how like 50 people live their lives.

If you just tax the rich and give to the poor, that won't actually create anything, all it will do is devalue money and they'll be poorer than before. (take a look at venezuela)
