Conclusion: Essentially, in terms of the Yoshi's Island franchise, only one has been released every few years, with Yoshi games in-between not following the same formula.

Thinking about the whole thing, I just think that people have gotten either too touchy, or the touchy people are finally able to scream all they want via improved communications. (I think the latter.)
