People were going to pay to win anyways. The only difference is that instead of gold farmers making all the money the player and blizzard split the money.

I still don't get the insanity of people calling this option as pay to win. How exactly do you win in Diablo by paying for gear? you're "selling" your enjoyment and cutting some serious time from the game and the fun you might have, in reality, it's pay to lose. The only thing that would fit is PvP that at the moment doesn't exist, in a final form and they're also thinking about how to make it work, PvP only sets obtainable through playing the game (only) and not allowing purchased gear are on their list (one needs no extra work, the other needs a lot so it's not that plausible).

I never really thought about it that way. When you look at Diablo, the gameplay is certainly entertaining, but the best part of it is finding new loot. When you just buy your loot, you ruin that fun for yourself.

Was going to buy the new Anno game. I guess not anymore.

According to Ubisoft you already pirated it so they don't care.

I wouldn't even pirate the game, that's how disgusted I am with Ubisoft (of course, I would never pirate a game anyway).

I'm gonna go ahead and say Braid is. Braid is more than just a game, it is a statement and a piece of art. There hasn't been a game that has elavated the industry to a higher level than Braid has.

Sins of a Solar Empire and Dungeon Defenders. I know Sins is already cheap, but I'm really cheap after having just spent 60 bucks on Skyrim and 70 bucks on collectors edition of Skyward Sword.

As far as I see it, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Skyward Sword (judging from the reviews so far), and Deus Ex are the only true contenders for GOTY this year. I think anyone of these is a good choice, honestly. If I were a betting man, I'd probably place my money on either Skyrim or Skyward Sword though.

[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"][QUOTE="Grodus5"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] Paterno wasn't exactly honest about what was reported to him.

As far as I know, which is about as much as everyone else knows (unless something came up while I was at school and I didn't catch it, but I just saw a report on the local news and nothing had changed), Joe Pa went to the athletic director, which serves as the head of campus police the day after whats his name reported it to Joe Pa. Sure, Joe Pa could have went to the police, and I do blame him for that, but legally he is in the absolute right. Morally its a shade of grey. He should have retired after this season, but should not have been fired.

There is no morally grey area. What he did (or rather, what he didn't do) is indefensible and despicable. He knew about Sandusky being a child abuser since at least 1998. Sandusky is apparently still a board member of Paterno's charity foundation even today, he was seen in a penn state weight room last week, he was seen with a kid at a closed penn state practice in 2007. He was celebrated by the university ever since he retired. And Paterno, who is without a doubt the most powerful man on that campus, did nothing. Prepubescent boys were raped because Paterno and a laundry list of numerous other Penn State officials did nothing but tell him not to bring children on to the campus. All it took was one person, and not one person at the school did a thing. Sandusky ran a f***ing charity foundation for children - how could Paterno not get the police involved, knowing what he knew about this man?

Again, Paterno reported it to his higher ups. Should he have done more? Most certainly. I must say, your argument is winning me over, but this situation still doesn't add up. Why is no one throwing stones at the man who actually witnessed it? Shouldn't he have gone directly to the police? It doesn't excuse any involvement Paterno had, but Joe Pa doesn't have nearly as much blame as the man who witnessed the event.

So a man who reported the crime when he heard about it the next day to the proper authorities is fired, while the man who witnessed the act keeps his job? Yeah, something isn't right here. I hope the football team steps up and says "You fired Joe Pa, we aren't playing."
