Just a copying files in windows won'twork. You need to ghost the drive using an utility like Norton Ghost. Then the entire structure will be copied over and you'll have exact same situation as before, but with a larger and faster drive.

Yes the XP mode is just MS VirtualPC with XP installed. You can do the same if you have a XP OS (VirtualPC is free). It's not at all meant for gaming (much too slow, no hardware acceleration).

Get a better video card so you can play in 1080p too. Problem solved. It's rediculous to compare a 2500$ plasma HDTV with a 200$ PC LCD.

If you think it's inconvenient to use the TV as PC screen, get a nice 24 inch LCD like the Dell U2410 (not one of those cheap TN monitors)

I am interested in SSD for performance but we still don't know enough about reliability. Considering how flash disk die so easily I have my doubts and will probably wait a couple of years for the prices to go down and the technology to mature.

Avatar doesn't even come close to Titanic imo. Although you knew what was going to happen, it wass more originaland less predictable that Avatar.
