Thinking of purchasing L4D2 and my pc meets all of the minimum requirements. It also meets most of recommended requirements except CPU speed (2.09GHz vs 2.4GHz). Will the game still work good or will it be very laggy because of the CPU speed. Also I've been playing some demos requireing about the same specs and most of them ran ok. Any help would be appreciated before I shell out $50 bucks for a game that doesn't work.

It all depends on this.

He said eberything else is fine.

So? You don't know what his graphics card, so you can't tell whether that game will run or not.

He said that everything else is fine, I am sure he knows his own PC more than you.

My CPU is only 2.2ghz and it works great.

As long as your GPU is up to the task I think you should be fine.

I have a ATI display adapter (0x9612). The recommended is DirectX 9 compatible video card with Shader model 3.0. NVIDIA GeForce 7600, ATI Radeon X1600 or better. When I tested it through "Can you run it" the test said my graphics card was sufficiant.

The point is that you don't know his computer anymore than I do.

I have a ATI display adapter (0x9612).

That could be an integrated GPU, which would mean that the game wouldn't run very well. Right click the desktop > catalyst control center > information center. It should tell you the name of your card where it says, 'graphics adapter.' Also, the recommended usually doesn't mean much. A better gauge is to ask someone who has actually played the game.

Left for dead 2 is very easy to run and the 2.4 ghz recommendation is for single core processors i think, it sounds like you can run it though

If possible go to Run or the Start Search area and type dxdiag. This will tell you all you need to know about your pc. Check the display tab at the top and let us know what you have in there.
