The cheapest solution is to connect the modem to your PC and using a second NIC and a crossover cable to connect the PC to the PS3 and use internet sharing.
well this my 5 year of game pc i built. i upgraded the video card from a 7800gt to a 9800gtx + oc and trust me a card alone will make a massive changefiredrakes
no doubt except the 7800 GT was released less than 5 years ago.
So at the end of lets say 3 years I would start to have to run my computer on med settings. At the end of 5 years all I would have to do is upgrade certain parts to get back at max settings is that correct?

No after 3 years you have to upgrade the video card to keep playing new games at good (not max) settings and after 5 or 6 years the whole PC is pretty much obsolete for games.
However as computer hardware improves more slowly than in the past, you can get a good 3 years out of a new PC as long as the PC is relatively high-end to begin with.
So let's see...$200,000 for what probably amounts to a few hours max in low orbit around the earth while having to stay strapped down in a seat inside unproven technology that could very well go disasterously wrong :|
WHERE DO I SIGN UP?! :D

It's actually just 5 minutes. Even if I had the money, I would never spend 200K for 5 minutes.
