I finally sat down and realized that 2000 dollars on a Mac is just too much...instead I went into frys electronics today and got a quote on a PC i am building what do you guys think about this and will I be able to run SC on Ultra?

Motherboard- Asus P8P67 B3 S1155

Processor- Intel quad core i7 2600k 3.4 GHz

Ram - 8 GB of Ram (Corsair)

Power Supply- Corsair GS 600 PSU 600W ATX

HD - Hitachi 500 GB Sata 3.5'

Video Card- ATI Diamond 6850 (1GB)

CD Drive- LG Blu Ray Writer

as a total i am spending about 1000 dollars...is this a good deal? should i go lower on the processor? All i will be doing is basic computer use...watching blu rays...and SC2....and maybe a shooter or 2 down the road

XaosII

ok ty....is there a way to install it without having to delete all my programs and have to re-install them?

Sadly no. Going from 32 to 64-bit requires a completely fresh new install. You could have gone from XP to Windows 7 with an inplace upgrade if its 32 to 32 bit. Even going Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit requires a brand new install.

Dang...well anwser this...will it run Starcraft 2 better for me?
