I find this trend of negativity toward this game dumbfounding. I've encountered one bug in 10+ hours. I guarantee the people talking the most have not even played the game, they are the type that wait for metacritic to tell them how to post on online forums about movies and games. Not sure how they can say the game doesnt have the spectacle of past games, this game is huge and the most ambitious of the traditional land based AC games. Just goes to show people don't actually want innovation (AC:3 and Unity, AC:4 to a lesser extent) they just want the same game 4 times.

Tom's take on Joel is probably the most childish interpretation of a complex and richly sympathetic character I've ever heard. It doesn't help that it's being filtered through the mouth of the most pretentious human being I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. It's really sad that the other two guys have to sit there and bite their tongues when he is spouting his nonsense about Joel being involved in some sort of "shady" business or wanting him to die halfway through the game, which would essentially be a death sentence for Ellie. Also his motivations are pretty clear throughout the game, even to the point of being overstated (I didn't think they were, pretty good balance of laying them out there and letting us figure it out for ourselves)... I guess he didn't want to put in any critical thought beyond a juvenile, obviously-for-attention stereotyping of the Joel character masquerading as an intellectual interpretation.

That's such a loaded question it's unreal. "Positive side of violent games." I don't know that there is one, beyond the fact that they're enjoyed by people... 99.999999999% of whom leave it at home on the TV and in the Xbox/PS3/PC. There's also probably a correlation to people who have been exposed to air conditioning and people who kill. EVERY KILLER IN THE PAST TWENTY YEARS HAS EXPERIENCED A/C. Ban it!

@YearoftheSnake5 @SurlyPotato giving "an example" basically precludes it being original.... since it has some sort of precedent. surly potato wants something that HASNT been done so how can an example of it be given?

Not a big deal for me, but it is too bad for people with an arcade console or other low hard drive units. Why not just do two discs, like Battlefield 3?

This addressed my only real concern with the ending, as in, how could the characters I chose to go with me at the end mission survive that blast and show up in the ending cutscenes. All of the added epilogue stuff is "nice" but unnecessary, I feel. With the exception of this.
