[QUOTE="nVidiaGaMer"]

[QUOTE="el_carl"][QUOTE="nVidiaGaMer"]That is a nice middle of the road PC.Baselerd

Middle of the road? Naw... That thing is a pretty killer computer.

8800GTX is old but still fairly high end.

However the Q6600 is old. The Q9450 is the new and it can overclock so much more + it has 12 megs of L2.

The q6600 and 8800gtx might be a little long in the tooth, but they will still perform as high end parts, especially since he OC'ed the q6600. 8800GTX SLI performs better than a 9800gx2 usually, so I would consider that high end.

it also usually costs significantly more, especially with the price of GTX's, and an SLI mobo.

could easily have gotten a GX2 for less.. and just wait for new drivers, it'll do a lot better soon imo.

what cpu cooler is that? I havent seen it yet... Is it better then coolermaster Gemin 2 or is it on par?TrooperManaic

haha, correct question would be: is it better than a thermalright ULTRA 120 eXtreme with a high CFM fan (ala scythe ULTRA kaze)? the answer is no. no it is not. no air cooled solution is and only one comes close (tuniq tower). EDIT: oh pff, it's a low end peltier. i still challenge it's abilities to my soon to purchase U120 w/kaze 3krpm. as it's just a HS.. a badly designed one at that.. with cool air. only has two heatpipes.

i'm a little weirded out that you bought 2x8800GTX's and skimped out on the monitor (226BW is considered the best 6bit panel)

also that you didn't go for aftermarket GPU cooling. you can get so much more out of it with it lol.

and does no one here realize that more powerful items cost more? Q9450 costs twice as much as a Q6600 with nowhere NEAR close to double the performance.

8800GT is ~ 10% more powerful than the 9600GT.

EDIT: stock clock:stock clock

GT can OC better (performance wise), and has many more SPU's and other processing units to give grunt at higher clocks. does, hoever, need aftermarket cooling :(
