Wii U is the next Dreamcast. Consumers are skipping it because they know much better consoles are just around the corner. Although the Dreamcast was a far better machine than the Wii U will ever be.

Physical media needs to die. DD is far superior. I couldn't imagine gaming on my PC without Steam.

@ThereWillBeNPCs @Random_Matt @Fizzman Terrible hardware should mean i pay less. I want good graphics and good game play. Nintendo wants it's fan base to think doing both is impossible. The truth is much more depressing. Nintendo is just really cheap.

The most i would pay for a Wii U in it's current state is 99.99. Obsolete tech with a gimmicky controller and no killer apps.

Activision will abandon the Wii U just like Ubisoft did when they see nobody is buying multiplats for the Wii U.

Gentleman, 19James89 brings up another important point in today's discussion, Don't smoke crack.

Nintendo needs to realize that there won't be a huge adoption rate for the Wii U. The casuals abandoned them the second they bought the original Wii. They (casuals) don't buy new consoles every generation.

Hardcore gamers won't flock to it either, since there is no third party support.

The only fan base that will purchase the Wii U are...Hardcore Nintendo fans. That is a very tiny percentage of the gaming community.

I will only use Origin for games that are not available on Steam, that i actually want. Fortunately there are very few EA owned games that i want.

Battlefield, Crysis and Mass Effect.

Origin will always be a second rate service compared to Steam.
