@Dradeeus Agreed. I played and enjoyed the beta but there's not enough there to keep me coming back. The stability of the game with regards to crashes (of which I had none) and the gameplay at this stage is really encouraging though. The finished game could be epic if they don't do anything stupid like suck the fun out with microtransactions that boost your character and make playing it legit to level up feel like a grind. I'm looking at you, Blacklight: Retirbution >:(.

@EzraPoore Ahhh that's kind of grim. I'm not against piracy because the premise that it takes away from sales is absolute nonsense but the game's not due out for nearly a month. Think I'll wait and buy it instead since FC3 was beast anyway.

People do realise that Activision own CoD too, right? It doesn't matter what happens to WoW, anyone who buys this company will make a killing with the CoD franchise because millions of people buy every new game even if it's shit.

@Grovilis Well no because a gaming PC is a long term investment and people's financial situations change. Also people can build gaming pc's over a period of several months or a year buying parts when they can afford them. Also, reviews really aren't that reliable, particularly when it comes to games which are produced by big companies like Activision. The Call of Duty games always get like 8/10+ on gamespot, ign etc and they're sub par in my opinion, only deserving of a 6 or 7/10 at most. A lot of the more recent comments give good examples of this. Dragon Age 2 being the main one, which got great critical reviews but to fans of the series who bought it on day one like myself it was a MASSIVE disappointment.

@famekiller What violent games have been linked to killing sprees? Sorry but calling bullshit on that one. Just because someone goes on a killing spree and they played a violent video game doesn't mean the video game had anything to do with it. I've been playing violent video games and watching violent movies my entire life and I've only ever been in 2 fistfights, a far cry from going on a killing spree. And if you're going to say my argument has holes you'll have to say WHY and not just stamp your feet like a little child and disagree with me because you don't have a leg to stand on. Also I think that my response to your comparison of stealing a video game and stealing a car is perfectly apt. Crime isn't black and white. Is stealing a loaf of bread to feed your family the same as stealing a Maserati? No. And while stealing games isn't, it's still totally different than your analagy. Also, consider the amount of people with broadband connections and the fact that all they have to do is click on something and they can have it for free. Hardly the same thing as stealing a car, or as leviathanwing said, a Rolex. Those things involve actually thinking about physically stealing something, going and taking it and running away. Internet piracy doesn't so of course more people are going to do it.

I also get the feeling that you think I'm advocating internet piracy, which I'm not and I never have. All I'm saying is it is nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

@Alucard1475 Or you won't. Blizzard has an insanely large fanbase, they can afford to alienate people. CDPR can't. On top of that there are already server emulators to illegally play D3 for free. It may take a while longer but eventually all DRMs are software, and all software can be cracked. All DRM does it frustrate people. It's retarded. It doesn't work, it reduces the performance of the game and it makes people unhappy with the product they've just paid for.

@ji99saw @Reuwsaat Did you even read my comment? I didn't say it was acceptable. My point is that piracy is NOT killing the industry. This game isn't mainstream and has sold 4 million copies. The people who pirate the game and never pay for it are assholes. But I don't see anything wrong with pirating the game and then buying it later. Are you not still supporting the dev? And again, the people who steal it WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT IT ANYWAY. So they really aren't losing out on money. CDPR know that the best way to fight pirates is to make their game awesome. When you buy the game you get a full colour map, high quality artworks, soundtrack, making of, free DLC forever, printable papercrafts and so much other good stuff. Anyone who steals that should feel sick. But I got all of this from TW2 for £30. And what do I get from CoD? A short singleplayer and a shit multiplayer.

If Devs want money, they should provide value for it. After TW2 I'm a CDPR fan for life. I am DEFINITELY gonna buy the next witcher and Cyperbunk. CODBLOPS2 can **** off.
