Even in the midst of Day Z, Amazon.com has priced Combined Operations at $10 in May. So yeah, Steam should bring it down to $15-17.50.
It remains to be seen whether Bohemia Interactive will offer a sale since their very niche game, Arma II, has seen a lot of popularity because of DayZ. Personally, I won't be getting it unless it's 60%+ off. I have no interest in Arma II, and DayZ is still a fledgling/buggy mess of a mod. And in my opinion, BI is kind of a crappy company if they don't offer more of a discount than 20%. Arma II has been 75% off in previous sales, and the ONLY reason they're holding back is their current hype popularity due to DayZ. I understand that devs need to make money, but they've already made a TON of unexpected sales due to DayZ, and they will continue to do so, no matter the price point.

I think a serious issue is actually server capacity though, if they did 60% off there would be an even larger influx of players into the already overcrowded servers. As it is, it can take me anywhere up to 30 minutes or more to get into an AUS or NZ server.
Am I incorrect in thinking that people set up their own servers to host? If I am, then that does make sense, but they should have enough money now to increase their server numbers. I was under the impression that anyone could rent/host a server. But the overcrowded servers may just be your location, though.

Although I applaud their attempt at a new and unique setting, it just didn't pan out for me (in beta). The combat is clunky. The game has a subscription AND a cash shop, right out of the gate. It's going free-to-play within 6 months.
I think it's a really good MMO. F2P done right. The world is very well done and immersive (if you let it be). It's among the best of worthwhile MMOs, IMO.
Amazon has really been trying to compete with Steam sales-wise in the past year or so. I've noticed that a lot of times when a game is on a midweek/weekend/daily sale on Steam, Amazon will put it on sale that day (sometimes for even less), especially during Steam summer/winter sales. Just wait, and check their digital deals daily or every so often. They do have deals that are similar to Steam quite often (and sometimes they even unlock on Steam too!).
