I'm surprised he didn't give it a score of 8/2.

When it comes time to talk about GOTY almost everyone is going to be talking about TLOU as a top contender. Almost no one is going to be talking about Pikmin 3. That alone should say something about these games getting the same score. I'm not saying that this game won't be fun for what it is, but the last of us was an amazing game with a couple of minor flaws that McShea had to magnify to drag it down. I'm convinced Mcshea exists to draw attention through his harsh reviews of universally praised games.

I hope they intend on returning the money that these individuals put into this game.

Unfortunately, in a gaming market where new games are 60 bux a pop, and there exists many games in the 8-10 range, it seems unreasonable to expect people with any semblance of a life to make their way all the way down to the games in the 6-7 range, much less even lower than that. The only way your idea will work Tom, is if you convince your colleagues to be harsher in their ratings with blockbuster games, so that us readers have a fair understanding of how these games compare.
