@Doobsac @Elite_Commandor

Your missing my argument...the argument is not that there isn't enough side missions the argument is that there is pretty much no reward system in those side missions that intrigues the player to actually do them.....other than just doing them because its fun...if the player decides to do them it should provide a benefit or reward.....maybe special weapons or rare inventory items in stores when you complete them or when you get a gold rating etc...but your left doing a few runs for paparazzi that rewards you with a whopping $2k..wow...so you spent an extra 45 min of game play but your still pretty broke and have the same inventory you had before until you play the main campaign....majority of open world environment games provide side quests not only fun but rewarding wanting to do more...Trevors side mission is a great example...you have a reason why to keep doing them....the others seem you should do them just to do them. Just saying with a large world as it is...should have you exploring the world for side quests that have great benefit adding way more hours of game play...Bordrelands, Fable, Skyrim, Far Cry's and others...open world environment with reason to explore and do side quests..

Is it just me or does GTA5 seem like a bad ass open world environment with little to do??....i mean don't get me wrong its fun and all but it feels like its missing something....for example.....FarCry3 has a massive open world environment with optional missions that you can do before starting the actual campaign that gives you a little advantage if you decide to do them.....with a world as massive as it is, I feel GTA should have done the same by adding the ability to rob stores...setup any type of heist for big jobs, side quests to get more inventory items available in markets, help black market or gangs to get special cars,gear and weapons that will be available for purchase....etc. Adding a ton of extra game play outside of the storyline.....Game is bad ass..just slightly disappointed for how large of a world it is you really cant do much outside of playing the storyline and F around in a sandbox....

@RagingJackalope @Elite_Commandor @s2i2p2i2o Where did you come up to the fact that I didnt know that COD had a major overhaul? Your statement makes no point nor does it include any insight or debate on what I previously said...Splinter Cell still looks cool it's just different...the point I am making is Splinter Cell 1 - "Splinter Cell's gameplay is stealth, with heavy focus on light and darkness. The player is encouraged to move through the shadows for concealment whenever possible." and now Blacklist "introduces a new gameplay mechanic called Killing in Motion, allowing the player to highlight targets and take them out in quick succession while on the run"....so turned into a run and gun rather than REQUIRING a stealthily strategic approach which was the uniqueness of Splinter Cell...

@Kickable both.... they are developing a game that isn't unique...splinter cell 1 & 2 pretty much required you to be stealthy and made you figure out a strategic way to get out of situations...all that is lost when you can just run and gun or mark your enemies and press a button and ta-da all 3 are dead removing the strategic fun of Splinter Cell....Game still looks pretty good I will play it now that there is reward system in place that has a reason to be stealthy as before there was no benefit...it was just an original shooter.

@s2i2p2i2o @Elite_Commandor yea online is the main key point of COD...hence why its so big. The guns in COD aren't unreasonable or no one would like it, but to each his own.....This splinter cell looks pretty good i will still play it. I think the main disappointment in the others was that you didn't get rewarded for being stealthy so it was like "whats the point?" where in this one seems to have some benefit...but of course reading the description of Splinter Cell back in its 1st game...compared to now...its different...if you run and gun in part 1, 80%+ chance you weren't going to make it so the key was to be stealthy and utilize ur gadgets. Again I will play this one but seems they took away some of the challenges Splinter Cell had....(Couldn't select characters to auto-kill as you can now) you had to figure out how to get out of the situation...

Ugh Splinter Cell back in the day was great, it was unique against all other games...Now it turned into a run and gun action thriller just like any other shooter with some slight differences. Ubi Soft listen...if you would go back to the original roots as it once was, added a gadget upgrading award system and combined it with next gen tech the game would be absolutely amazing...There is a reason why COD is #1 (haters cant deny the statistics) because it remains to stick to its original roots...sad to see a game that COULD have had an epic trilogy like COD....but someone decided to turn away from the uniqueness of Splinter Cell.
