ja, touchy subject. oh well...first i want to say that i agree with IllegalChronic on some of his views...this article is very deep and thoughtful. A kid at the age of 8 or 9 will have questions, and i bet you a couple of dollars that the answer he or she will seek will be found on the internet....some tasteful and some simply too graphic. Creating even more confusion....this article must be read by both a kid and an adult (parent, guardian, whatever). Yes, some kids are mentally tough enough already at that age, while some of them are not. And second, i really do not understand that well the transgender situation (condition? state of mind?) , and the writer did not explain that either. Left it open for ASSUMPTION...which in turn creates confusion (i don't want to be harsh or mean, but is the writer a woman trapped on males body? i Assume poison is too...right?). Never assume we know. Force feed please. To end, in the valley of God, you can find almost everything, and if you can't, then he will make it everything, one way or the other. We CANNOT be the same, we CANNOT think the same and we CANNOT agree on the same subject...but we owe ourselves to TRY. Cuz forever we will not be. To the writer...you have the balls of steel to write this. Putting your personal thoughts and self disputes wide open like you did, makes you even stronger than Poison. Loads of Respect.

pc is not dying and consoles are not bad. Obviously, most of the people here are pc gamers, so it's ridiculous to think one will say "pc is dying and consoles rule"...thats fanboyism to the highest degree. I would say, pc games are cool, but it's a matter of taste. I for one enjoy GAMES! Pc, Ps3, Xbox360 and Wii and so forth. Which is better...i really don't know because I PLAY GAMES! Now if you ask me, which system do you prefer to use, then i would say console. Why? simple. Am the square kind that likes his pc only for work, research, downloading music, vids, movies....if you ever see me playing on a pc is kinda rare. If i game, i prefer sitting on my couch, glass of coke, tv and stereo hooked up and playing till i get tired. It's just my opinion...consoles are for gaming, pc are for everything...but i prefer to keep em for only work\study related stuff. That's what i like...like i said before is up to you which one you pick...Honestly guys, right now the bunch of good to great games that are being delivered, i don't think anyway you decide to go you will lose. And i really don't like this type of articles. Cuz all it starts is fanboyism. PS:....i really really really don't like minecraft........i know am gonna get hate, but i just don't like minecraft!!

Man...it all boils down to something called "Responsability". My son is quite the healthy hyper active kid, that really loves to watch T.V and comic strips. The day that i let him watch Rob Van Dam do the frog splash on Samoa Joe (i think it was Samoa Joe, can't remember), from that day on, when he catches me or my wife laying there on the bed, a frog splash we get. I was watching Undisputed 3, and Boyca made the 720 spin kick to the poor schummuck he was fighting with and I turned around and say my baby boy's face lit up with such joy. Next thing I know, the bathroom door was getting dropkicked and high kicked. Is this the fault of the "T.V."? the answer is NO! it's my fault for letting him watched those kind of shows and movies, which I know my little tiger just loves to emulate, yet is totally dangerous. But i LOVE watching him do or trying to pull of the 720 spin kick ajajajajajaj!! But it's our responsability as parents to supervise and try to guide our children. It's our responsability period. Not the goverments, nor schools, nor the media, or anybody. It's the parents responsability to be there and GUIDE, not control, to guide our children and help them understand what they're experiencing. The reality of things is, sooner or later they will have access to things much more violent than just videogames, wrestling or movies! All you can do as parents is prepare them that when they watch something of that sort or worse, they can react the best way possible.

well...i don't think that's the consumers fault or problem. This is issue must be solved between publishers and the second hand market. Publishers have a point, but they're trying to appear as the victims in this story, when they're the wolves with the sheep clothes. Cause let's be honest, getting a new costume and new ability just doesn't merit $60 or $60+. As a matter of fact, getting a 4 hr single player campaign and justifying the $60 tag because of the online multiplayer, is a total ripoff. What happens if you don't have an online provider? what if your online service crashes? see what happend to PSN, then what do we do with Black Ops and other FPS that use the multiplayer gaming as their main bread and butter? play the SAME (modern warfare, black ops, world at war and whatever other gimmicky name they put for the next one) 4hr single player campaign? Developers have to figure this out BY THEMSELVES! cuz this problem they brought upon themselves. Consumers live on the real world, were nothing is free and every cent counts. And if we buy something expensive, with our hard earned money, it's got to be not good, but great. A game that we can beat in a week or 2, and still find new things when we play it again, 3 months or 2 years from now. The second-hand stores are the ROBIN HOODS at this point. Yes, sometimes they buy cheap and sell high...but MOST of the time they buy cheap and sell just right!

In the end is Nintendo's call, either support (buy the system and peripherals and crap) or don't support. I have always thought that both Microsoft and Sony sat down with Nintendo, and asked "please, don't compete with us". Why? well nintendo has proven over and over again, that when they want to push it, nobody has a chance. For example, Resident Evil 4, this game was made exclusively for the Gamecube and it kicked everyone's arse. Oh, and don't forget Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, to me one of the most original titles of recent gaming history. Nintendo with a crappy 2 cent piece of garbage called "wii", basically trashed videogame sales figures sky high...everyone had one, even though they hated it. Sold them, throw, gave them away....you name it, the Wii was everywhere. Now with all that money they have made from the repulsive wii, PLUS the nintendo DS and now the new nintendo 3DS making profit whereever it goes. Unbelivebable but with the wii nintendo has touched and reached every single household of the world. Those 5-9 year old kids that bought those wii's are probably 12 or 13 now, the families know the nintendo brand, so why not buy the same brand for our now 12 or 13 year old kid? To recap, nintendo knows exactly what they're doing, and when they decide to make THAT gaming console, everyone will be jumping in. As for sony and microsoft, don't think they're not competing, cuz they really are. And NO, am not a Nintendo fan boy. I just love Videogames.
