Review smacks of "I've never played this series before and have no idea what is important to fans of the series". I learned nothing from that review. Tom, you didn't really tell us a damn thing about the game. Sounds like you played it for an hour tops. From reading that, does anyone know what the menus are like this year? What about load times? Are the stats reported in-game still broken (assists/steals reported for the players team way too high)? What modes are included in the game this year? How are they? Honestly, you should take this review down and just not do one at all if this is the effort you intend to put forth.
The score doesn't concern me. The information is lacking.
@Gravity_Slave @Colekern What are we all? Bees? The moment I buy an Xbox, I'm immediately conditioned to protect it? If you think your experience with a few people on a forum is indicative of everyone who games on the PC, you're a tool, not a slave.
@19James89 @TenraiSenshi Oddly, Nintendo should look at what makes the DS so successful despite not being the best tech on the market. For some reason, they don't seem to get that it's the software killing the Wii U. They seem to think DK, Mario and Zelda is the cure to any problem. I have as big a DS library as any other console I own, but not a single game from the three listed above. And the software lineup for the Wii U is depressing for someone like me.
Why do businesses announce such things in that verbose business-speak? Can't they just say it plainly? If you're the type of person that is impressed by deliberately verbose explanations, I guess you should go to business school.
@TalesOfGod I agree. I'm skeptical. It's hard to see how the screen resolution is not going to be an issue on larger televisions. You'd think with how successful P4 Golden was on Vita, they'd be more focused on putting out popular PS2 games on the Vita. I'd love to see Valkyrie Profile 2 or Dragon Quest 8 running on Vita.
@gamestoreguy Last gen, they decided to pursue the more fickle market that is once again beginning to see video games as passe. And they really don't cater to core gamers so much as they cater to a niche of core gamers. We have to beg them to release any RPGs in America that aren't targeted at kids. And then they release them in such short supply that even down the road, they limit potential exposure. Cause most people won't pay several hundred dollars to catch up on a series. They just don't get the market here. If you saturate the market with software, the hardware will move itself.
What games? If you bought a Wii U for MH, and you're not a fan of Nintendo games, you're left with what? playing Wii games on your Wii U? How can Reggie say it's all about the games when the software lineup for the system is so spare? Not everyone wants to play 50 versions of Mario, Zelda and DK. I sure don't.
