I was in your position a few weeks ago.

I ended up upgrading pretty much the whole system for a number of reasons:

My board supported only CrossFire (NO SLI support), just like your board unless you hack it.

I had 550W PSU which would not handle second GTX460, again your 600W PSU will most likely cause system crashes, because system with 2 GTX 460 draws close to 600W at times and most of PSU are not rated at 100%. You also need 4 power connectors, not sure if your PSU is SLI-ready.

I got heck of a deal on mobo/CPU combo during Black Friday sale.

If I could I'd keep my old system and just throw a second card and use it for another year or two. CPU was more than capable and RAM was not a problem either. Unfortunatelly my mobo and PSU were not future proof and I did not want to get new PSU and rewire the whole system now and than year or two later when I got new mobo/cpu/ram.

Creative

Darn totally oversaw my PSU's power and the Crossfire issue.

Thanks for reminding me, i'll just save some money for later :P

Current rig:

MB: Asus Maximus II Formula
RAM: Crucial PC2-5300 8GB
HD: 1TB
CPU: Intel 2 Quad Core Q9450
PSU: OCZ GameXtream 600watt
GPU: GIGABYTE GTX460 1GB

The MB is the only thing i don't like but what should i do? Just keep the rig and upgrade to two GTX460 1GB in SLI? Or just save money for something new in the future?

When are we able to buy this?

I sold my old xbox 360 and bought the black slim version with a black quick charge kit (it comes with a black rechargeable battery pack).

But if i buy a second controller it probably comes with 2 batteries which can't be charged by thequick charge kit, right?

When will the rechargeable batter packwhich can be charged with aquick charge kitbe available ?

not if you buy a PSU Tester for 15-21$ but i belive it not the case : really I think it only the gpu the fault just by judging the bloody hell of those pixel you shown me specially if you can get them to show on the BIOS / Before Window Is Loaded and that the pc still accept to boot in safe mode after few attemp

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/f/powersupplytest.htm
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16899887005

but with a psu tester it say you'r 100% sure it as a issue or not with that and will reveal it if it need a RMA but anyway i hope you get ur 280GTX fixed soon i know how annoying it can be to be wanting to play ur pc and it refuse so you'r stuck on console / flash game lol

marcthpro

Thanks for the great links!

I really hope it's my GPU though, i have to pay 20 euros for research costs of the RMA ifthe GPU is not defect... damn digitique employees

im going to check those links, i really hope it's not my PSU :P
