So, with this review and the one for Flower, I'm not seeing ANY reference to the upgraded graphics or anything else comparing the experience on PS4 with the original. What gives, friends?
I loved the lack of hand-holding in Far Cry 2 -- the problem for me was the respawning enemies at roadside checkpoints. That killed the immersion and sense that I had any real impact on the world, so I walked away. That, and the lack of story progression.
Is is just me, or does every word from this guy's mouth sound like Jay Carney or some kind of politician dodging questions from 60 Minutes? Everything was "well, let me answer that by asking you this." The bullshit meter was in the red. Man, I'm going from an Xbox fan to a hater when I hear this corporate babble nonsense.
Well stated, sir. Owning both a 360 and a PS3, I'm not a fanboy for either, but everything about the Xbox reveal had zero appeal to me as a gamer.
On the other hand, the PS4 reveal showed everything that I'd want, without a big brother camera and other typically MS "customer last" bulls&*t, and showed me developers that are psyched enough to be developing FIRST for the Playstation, then porting to the Xbox One. That's the exact reverse of what happened with the current gen, when typically the 360 version was the original and the PS3 the port. Which means that every developer will be able to max out the use of the PS hardware to an extent that only a handful of Sony-exclusive developers like Naughty Dog did with the PS3.
The fella that claimed that Sony blew it because they didn't show the physical box design... wow. Never heard about a book and its cover..? Especially ironic considering that the One box design is about as sexy as your grandmother in garters. Just zero personality or wow factor.
I've really enjoyed both MS and Sony's systems (at least up until the 360 started revolving everything around disappointingly laggy and kiddy-feeling Kinect). But as an adult gamer, Sony has been gradually pulling ahead in every way -- and with the reveals, my choice in third gen console has become crystal clear.
Most people already are online *most of the time* because there are so many cool benefits. That should be enough. But anything REQUIRING you to always be on is bullshit, plain and simple and a good way to make sure that I do NOT buy your console (looking at you, MS).
Notice which party these pols belong to; then question the authorities who have tried to brainwash you to believe it's the Republicans who are trying to to control us.
