Underrated: Silent Hill 4 : The subtle scares such as the kid's shadow in the closet and the 'dead you' staring from the other side of the peep hole really hit home with me. American Magee's Alice: This game has a cult following. Maybe it's because I used to play it a lot, but i love the music and images. It all seemed very inspired. Final Fantasy II : It was the game that introduced me to the leveling up of spells based on usage. Something that people have loved about Skyrim (but FFII came out in Japan in the late 80s i think). I wish more games had this type of system, it's lovely. I can't see how anyone finds Dark Souls/Skyrim overrated. I'm a Dark Souls fanatic, and can't help but feel that those people completely missed the point. It's not for masochists who like to 'die 200 times.' The point is to learn how not to die lol. Some people just can't take the initiative. You don't play the game, it plays you.

I bought Dark Souls first, and I'm happy I did. The combat is, in my opinion, some of the best ever in a game. It's much more precise and pure than Demon's Souls'. After playing about 20 hours of Dark Souls, I knew I had to have the latter though, so I bought it. Dark Souls gives less direction than Demon's Souls, but the combat has thus far felt more rewarding.
