I always felt silent hill 4 was subtle brilliance. The apartment room itself was scary as hell. The use of images mixed in with silence really got to me. underrated.

When a game has elements that can only happen in a video game...then it's a stepping stone towards the video game industry gaining more respect as an art form. "The kind of story that only a game can tell." Shows you that video games are becoming less like movies, which is good because now they can become VIDEO GAMES (their own perfected art form).

I think Dark Souls is a step in the right direction - in the future of gaming. I believe video games will be the art form of this century. Nowadays, music and movies struggle to achieve greatness...it seems video games are still peaking. Regardless if Dark Souls is considered one of the best of the year, it's gotta be thought of as one of the most revolutionary. Recall that 2001: A Space Odyssey only won Best Special Effects...
