$16? For a game that was released four years ago, that was itself an update of a game from 1991? Plus the fact that it's an iOS game knocks it down a few more points.
Based on what I've read, the negative reviewers didn't like the game because it wasn't the type of game they personally thought it should be. Those who play it with an open mind seem to like it. I still have to play it myself, but it looks like something I'd love.

Well, why not? They got everyone to buy into the iPad, which is basically an oversized iPod Touch. Shrink the iPad down a bit, give it a new name, and the hoards will buy it all over again.
