What the hell are these guys talking about? Take us on an epic journey that we have never experienced before? Right, like it wasn't the same journey in the books, in the movies, and in any other lotr game. We've seen this a thousand times already, why the need to hype up this new coat of paint?
@SpookyJack Oh and, please tell me of this point and click survival horror game you are referring to, there is no such thing, they are too separate genres, no survival horror game is point and click, most of them are tank controlled resident evil clones, apart from maybe the first clock tower game.
@SpookyJack Debatable, survival horror is more action oriented and less narrative driven, it's centered around violence, which adventure games are not, in fact they are almost polar opposites.
Point and click adventures were awesome and I miss them, but apart from the context sensitive smart interactions, they hardly ever evolved. To revive classic adventure games, they first need to evolve and experiment more, having multiple solutions for every puzzle or scenario, as well as combination of items should be a great start for people to more easily get into them. If there was one thing I hated, it was having to use all of my items on every single thing with a name on it on every screen over and over again in hopes of somehow progressing further.
