@CrossChecked, agreed. The gameplay has been far too much of the same BUT what can they do exactly? The game thrives on it's engine and it's too late to build one from scratch. Gears 1,2,3 Halo 1,2,3 and even 4 have all been the same. It's the formula. If I had a working formula i wouldn't risk changing it just cause a minority of gamers dislike similarity. It sucks, but that's business. They are in fact looking into Create-A-Class and Killstreaks and rexamining how they work to warrant a possible change, at the same time not messing things up. It just got revealed and it's too early to critic a game we almost know nothing about. Even assuming it's more of the same would be too far fetched. Example being MW3 and how dissapointing it was for fans.
Huh? Tired? Just cause Black Ops has to unfortunately share the same title with Modern Warfare doesn't make it tired or "milked". Call of Duty does come out EVERY year, but Black Ops has only came once every 2 years. Typical development cycle. By all means use the ignorant "it's the same **** every year" and go watch that trailer and READ Kotaku's 48 Things You Should Know about Black Ops II and tell me how many shooters have done this before. Unlike most cliche shooters, Treyarch's tend to stick to more realistic events. For once we aren't fighting Russians unlike the other million shooters out there. My point is that no matter what gamers ask for, when we get it people still **** People talked **** about how CoD is the same every year (even though Treyarch's hve nothing in common) and yet here they are innovating with untouched conflicts and perspective and people STILL cry. Ignorance is bliss.
