A quick note for those trying to transfer items through pawns. You MUST use that pawn for a bit! EG If I want to pass on some cool new clothes and equipment, I hire the pawn from my other account, change the equipment etc. I then use the pawn for a bit of light hunting. I then dismiss the pawn (I also then sleep at inn just to be sure) I had problems with things not turning up uless I used the pawn for a bit. I'm going to guess this is a 'fix' to ignore 'accidental' hireings EG where you hired a pawn and you didn't mean to so you dissmiss them again. Therefore, you need to keep and use the pawn for a bit before dismissing them for the hire to be recognised. If you are wondering if you may loose stuff becouse of this, you don't. EG if you want to transfer a whole load of stuff you can hire the pawn, change the kit, dismiss it several times. Just make sure you use the pawn for a bit on the last hire before dismissing and all the kit you put on the pawn will turn up as gifts for the owner.

I'm having trouble finding better daggers in the store. After I made it to the main town I bought the stilettos. Since then I've gotten to level 22 and the daggers are slowing me down even enhanced. And the store still has the same supplies. Does the stock change after a certain level? Or after a certain point in the story line? Where is a good place to find them?EMSJunkies

Shop stock doesn't change based on your level, it changes based on progress through main story.

As another poster said, you get a quest to find an idle for two of the shop owners but that only unlocks additional items for each story unlock level.
EG: after doing X story quest Y daggers are available. If you had also done idle quest then Z daggers are available as well

Also worth noting that quest rewards and findable items are not based on your level either!
EG: you can go get a high level bit of equipment from a dangerus high level area if you are willing to risk it!

Anyway, regarding your stilettos, do some story questing and you should get some new daggers turn up in the shops :)

Scalding Razors (Which I found really good) turn up at Caxtons after doing the idol quest for him (Doesn't matter which idol for these)
Next daggars are Snagdaggers but thats about half way through the main quest.

Also, regarding idol quest, Madeleine is better if you have a female mage/sorc otherwise Caxton is better as Madeline's unlocked items are mainly mage/sorc armor for female.

i beatthe game stabbed myself and i still have to start over at lvl 1 so no u cant keep your stuff spike2688
Hi, The 'stabbing yourself with godsbane' is a bit misleading. If you do that before beating the POST GAME boss you will just kill yourself and get the 'retry' screen that you normally get if you die during a normal fight. You get a 'clear game' save by using godsbane AFTER beating post game boss, visiting the start village then leaving the start village. Sorry its not clear but I don't want to spoil things. You will get the idea after beating the post game boss (and no, it isn't the UrDragon). Loading the 'clear save' will start NG+

I leveled up to 23 as a fighter, but finding it boring now I want to play as either an a strider/ranger/assassin. But people tell me that it's too late in the game and leveling a new vocation will be impossibly difficult. So is it too late? Oh and I'm on the Wyrm Hunt story quest.

Essian

If you are unsure, try Assassin as it shares quite a few skills with fighter that you can rely on until you have gained a few Assassin job levels (EG use sword and bow, you can use your sword until you have picked up a few bow and dagger skills).

Also, the primary stats for Fighter will work nicely with Assassin. You can then swap to Strider or Ranger from Assassin if you find you like daggers and bow style.

So sprinting through monster filled areas can change your pawns inclination to guardian.

Running out of stamina can make the pawn go medic.

Have anyone else noticed any specific situation that changes your pawns inclination ?

Hellcanwait
Details from the guide: Scathing: Enter battle with enemies as they appear Medicant: Prioritize safety by healing your hero or removing their status ailments. Using 'Come' Mitigator: Bring down weak targets first Challenger: Focus on long range attackers and enemies with support abilities Utilitarian: Use support skills and enchantments Guardian: Use 'Help' and 'Come'. Avoid using 'Go' Nexus: Quickly heal your pawns and remove status ailments Pioneer: Use 'Go when not in combat Acquistor: Pick up items Based on the above, I can easily see why pawns tend towards 'Guardian' as 'come' and 'help' are used all the time to get them to follow you if you are sprinting through an area and to get them to buff and heal.

Quite a few people seem to be asking for dynamic mob leveling.

I can see why but if mob levels are done that way DD will end up more like an eldar scrolls game.

One of the things that makes DD stand out is that you can end up wandering into an area with mobs that are WAY too difficult at your level. You can then go back later and kick there asses easily!! :D

Dynamic leveling of mobs will take that away.

Really! Who doesn't remember being scared by that first ogre in Everfall as you try your first real dungeon crawl with your new low level Arisen and get kicked around all over the place desperately reviving your pawns every few mins! Just for added fun, take an all girl team and watch the ogre go mad!!

Sure, later on you are so strong nothing seems to be a challenge so I understand the frustration of everything being a cakewalk.

We just need 'off the beaten track' bosses like a lot of JRPGs have. You don't have to fight them during the main quest but you can if you want to get that ultra rare shiny loot.

I always find dynamic leveling a bit disappointing. The challange always ends up at 'what the developer decided' and you don't get quite the same feeling of accomplishment from leveling or getting that new shiny loot as all the mobs are now the same as you with the same shiny new weapon! (Oblivion is a good example of this even though I enjoyed Oblivion)

Witch hunt like the other DLC separate stories imports your save data to create a new char that looks like your old char as close as possible, IE: you will not be playing from your save but from a new save based on your imported save

Witch hunt assumes she was impregnated by you or Alistair

Its unfortunate it isn't in line with your DA:O story but Witch hunt wouldn't even exist as a story if it didn't assume the above as you would be dead and she wouldn't be pregnant.

Templar is now unlocked for all warriors. Other warriors in your team can now pcik that specialisation and you will be able to pick it if you do another playthrough with a warrior class (As long as its on the same profile)

Two hand warrior is up close and personal, Mage or Archer is obviously fighting from range.

Range type chars will have a harder time when on their own (Although they work real well if you have a nice tank set up to work along side and generate lots of 'threat')

Mage also tends to end up with a lot of 'pausing' if you use AOE spells as you need to set their point of impact.

I've played through with Mage and Rogue duel
I found 'circle of magi' easier with the rogue due to being able to cope better up close. Honstly though, I really didn't like the Fade at all and I'm not looking forward to that part this time as I do another Mage playthrough.

Maybe you should try a Rogue duel? You get the up close style of your two hand but also some other interesting skills and the action will seem a lot faster as duel is faster hitting than two hand (damage per hit is less obviously)
