Go here to log in

https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/Login?cont=account

'Select Service'
'Final Fantasy XIV'Then select renewal option

If you want to use a credit card you need the automatic renewal option.
In which case, first go to 'Register/Update payment method' that is on same page as 'Select Service'

If you think this is a lot of messing around then I agree with you!

I'm a tad confused on what I should be doing. I get how to do it but my question is should I focus on specific parts of the grid for certain characters? I was planning on just filling it all up as I went but I'm not sure if that's wise.

Look for the skills and arts in the middle of the grid sections that you actually want then focus on unlocking them. Since unlocking the next layer requires you to unlock a single specific art/skill (+ 2 other of your choosing) and the one you specifically need is in a different position on each layer, you will often be jumping around the grid anyway.

[QUOTE="AvengerCloud"]Hej people! Does anyone know why the jet black feathers vanish from the backpack without trading em with the npc? This isnt the first time, had 21 feathers, whent to the npc, couldnt trade em with one of the stones whichg cost 25 feathers, kept on playing n just got 2 more of em, all of a sudden it said i had 2 in total.

Every time you talk to the npc you hand over all the feathers in your posession. You then have a kind of credit you can use to purchase things off him. You don't need to use that credit at that time though. EG: you handed over 21 which gave you a credit of 21 hand over the next 2 and you will have a credit of 23 You can only carry a limited number anyway so you may as well hand them over when you can so that you can collect more. Dont worry if none of the things he has seem intersting. Once you have collected a cirtain number he gives you a reward anyway. I just got something to allow me to map 16 arts instead of 8 for collecting 100 feathers. I'm sure there will be more rewards for collecting more feathers.

What are Mysterious Orbs supposed to do?

I'm fairly sure I just used them for upgrading shops so far (unless I'm mistaking something else for them)

I guess, logically, If you progressed more in the original DD then you could delete the DD : DA save and re import the DD save into DD : DA ?

[QUOTE="DemonJako"]I would advise against loading up a DD:DA save in the original DD!!!!! When you load up a DD save into DD:DA it 'imports' it which suggests the save has changed in some way. Using that save in DD again may end up corrupting it! Simple EG: DD doesn't know what an Eternal Ferrystone is so may just destroy it as faulty data!

Stupid smilees!! DD:DA = DD : Dark Arisen [QUOTE="DemonJako"]I would advise against loading up a DD:DA save in the original DD!!!!! Actually, NG+ enemies are slightly stronger!

No one notices becouse it still seems easy to wipe out cyclops etc in NG+
But, if you look at the XP, it has increased from when you last killed that enemy in the first run through, therefore, it is stronger!

Don't know if that increases difficulty for Bitterblack Isle, it may well do!

Just for fun, you could try 'hard mode' and go to Bitterblack Isle :D

Yep, works great!

Definately a good reason to keep your old DD disk if you still have it!

Almost reason enough to get a cheap copy of DD if you think you will play thorugh several times as the eternal ferrystone makes all those escort quests a lot less of an arse (The cash and RC aren't bad either) !

EG: Go to a typical escort location (healing springs, bloodwater beach etc) drop crystal, port back, pick up quest, port to crystal, repeat for all escorts to that location then move crystal to another common escort location :)

Try using a mystic knight they use magic to enhance melee but look at the augments from different vocations to strengthen your melee capabilities.zachshadrack3

What about Ranger/Strider/Assassin builds?
I'm not doing too bad and have just got past first boss (NB NOT that one chained up!! After that.) but Elder Ogres are a real pain!
Currently level 84.
Sorry I'm a bit Kryptic, trying to avoid spoilers.
