I have owned a Wii since launch and its quite pathetic. I've probably played 4 games on it since it came out. Between my PC, PS3 and 360 the Wii does nothing but collect dust. There are so many games in the past month I cant even take a break. With fallout 3, Fable 2, Farcry 2, Little big planet, Saints Row 2, End War, Resistance Fall of Man all still being played there's no time to slow down. Not to mention Gears of War 2 tomorrow, COD:WAW, Left 4 Dead, Mirrors Edge and countless others I cant remember all coming out its laughable that theres not a SINGLE Wii game.
I dont need "hardcore" games to keep me occupied, but I need better then the trash that is Wii Fit, Wii music and that other stuff Nintendo is spewing out. I usualy never rant this bad but when people actually defend the Wii agaisnt the 360 or ps3 in terms of games then something has to be said. If you enjoy the games on the Wii then thats awesome, you should. But im sorry it holds nothing against the library of the other systems, not atleast for this year.
There's a reason its not selling as well as it could be.
1.bad release date - I was so confused my self trying to buy the game because the release date changed constantly from place to place. I don't even want to think how hard it would be for a person who doesnt visit game websites frequently.
2.Its not Mario - Don't expect a platformer to sell into the multi millions that doesn't have the name MARIO right on the box as others have stated.
3. Horrible Advertisement- G4 is a perfect example. 90% of the time (literally) all you see is Fable 2 and Farcry 2 commercials for the past week. Once and awhile you get the Mirrors edge and Fallout 3 commercial but even that's rare. I have yet to see any commercial for Little BigPlanet.
There's really no right answer to this at all. The fact that you only want to play sport games and the games like madden, NHL and NCAA are almost clone copies on both systems, it comes down to the fact how much money do you want to spend. I mean if you are honestly only interested in sports games (which is not a bad thing, I love them too) and you don't care much about exclusive games that each system has to offer there's not much of a choice really. Your going to get pretty much the exact same experience expect one costs more then the other.
If I was in your situation I'd just take the 360 due to the fact that its cheaper and the online tends to be much more polished then PSN which is really a big factor if you like multiplayer in your sports. But honestly you cant go wrong with the ps3 either. Its really just comes down to do you see your self wanting any other games that the ps3 has that the 360 doesn't? (MGS4 or Resistance for example) If by all means you see several games that you might like to try then go ahead and get a ps3. You cant go wrong either way.
