It looks interesting, but not good enough compared to SE's other titles like SO4, FFXIII and even Last Remnant. I guess the very first screens looked really nice but I got disappointed when I saw the first trailer.
I read about this a long time ago and to keep things short, there was an issue (legal or what have you) between MS and Apple. In which case Apple decided to end the ipod's compatability with MS products. This is why older generation Ipods work with the 360, I think 6th gen Ipods won't work.
Note that magazines such as GamePro, EGM and Play are all good for general news, OXM and the like would offer you more if you want Xbox exclusive info (including demos and other stuff). Not to say the other magazines are bad though, in fact I enjoy reading GamePro and EGM whenever I can.
Lost Odyssey will last you a while granted you have the patience and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 should be a good choice if you've never played the first. Worst comes to worst, GTAIV will be out shortly so...
If the immortals die in battle, they revive within a couple rounds, however if the whole party dies then it's game over. What did you expect...invincibility? I'm sure in every game there must be a way to fail or else it would be too easy.

The situation your misinformed friend is referring to is probably to do with the PC version. There is categorically no way to get unofficial mods for the 360 version.

That's true, but it also makes me wonder why his friend decided to mention a gamertag. How many people use Windows LIve anyway?
It looked great but there's not enough info to keep me excited and that gameplay video wasn't all too impressive either. I hope it turns out well for Tri Ace though as I did somewhat enjoy Star Ocean 3.
