He is not gonna take that money into his grave and he is not gonna give all his money to his kids either. He only give a little of all his money to his kids (around 10M$ or so). You just don't go on media and tell people that you'll give almost all your money to charity after you die and then you don't.
He also convinced other billionaires to do the same. He sell his shares to fund Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help other people around the world. If people want him gone from Microsoft then they can do that but maybe, just maybe they want him to stay that's why he can stay as Chairman.
Like I say "No matter how much you hate Microsoft/Bill Gate, there is not many people like Bill Gate around that give most of his money to charity".
@StephenSays @Grenadeh @DarkblueNinja No offence but that's pretty stupid. It sounds like you are envy of rich people. You act like if you are rich then you can't give money to help other people. Only the poor can do that.
@StephenSays @DarkblueNinja You do know that when Bill Gates died he will gives almost all his money to charity right?If no one give money then how can you help the poor around the world or help find a cure for example cancer? There is many way to do charity.
