He is talking about consoles and its true. The only game close to a survival horror was Dark Souls just because you were afraid to die and the dark fantasy art.

And that is why Crysis 3 deserves a 6/10.

The graphics doesnt matter, its just a tool to create a better gameplay. Crysis 3 is just another FPS game, without intention of explore any kind of innovation, like a COD game but with super suits.

So Revelations is like a marketing study now... Sadly only when the sales were lower than they expected the future of the series is being analized. But the problem with Capcom is that they abandoned the hardcore gameplay and want a casual experience. You cant feel horror if you beat everyone with infinite ammo and health regen. The difficulty standard of the 90's must come back. This is an identity crisis, they wanted to become Activision of Asia and this is the result. The real question is if they want their fans back or risk everything and pray for a game of them to have the sales of a COD game.

Something like "Gangstas in Space" (Saints Row) would be nice. But the series shouldnt leave the contemporary time period. I think that a change of location would be nice to the series, like Brazil for example. They already did it with Max Payne 3.

I think you are right in some aspects, but you dont mention the responsability of the media, and the adults. I mean my parents didnt play videogames in their childhood, so they dont know about the evolution of the industry and what games are about, but they know what can happen in movies, for example. Imo Hollywood movies are way more violent, and they glorified the badass guy that can kill an army alone. Rambo is older than Kratos and glorified wars of the USA.

If we talk about entertainment as a whole is a serious debate, but if you mention games alone is because is just a scapegoat that is my statement. They are protecting themselves using the ignorance as a shield, you cant say "you are irresponsible parents for buying mature content for your kids". Protecting their work and the guns industry that needs wars and paranoia to sell, that is what they do. The marketing of games sometimes is focused on violence but you also praise that, If the next review of a COD game isnt "This game only focus on violence without any improvement in the gameplay aspect" you are part of the problem too.

I think the discussion of the games culpability ends when you see that a person with mental problems can get a gun. Mature content can influence children, that is why is mature, its just a matter of ignorance.
