Before each boss, make sure all of your aeons and characters have their overdrive gauge full. Now what I do, is I beat the crap out of him with normal attacks, magics and my characters' overdrives until he's got the least HP possible. At this point, unleash an aeon overdrive to overkill him. You will get double AP and double the items he normally drops. Do this for everyboss in the game. This pays a lot in the latter part of the game, especially when Seymour always drops lvlx key spheres.

Other tip: some people really overuse the ability to switch characters whenever you want in battle. If you keep beating battles with different characters, all of them will level up, but at a very slow pace, and eventually you won't be able to cope with the latter bosses. What you need to do, from the very begining of the game, is to always have the same 3 characters get some exp. at the end of every battle you face. You can switch characters whenever you want, sure, but always make sure to have these 3 ones get some exp. in the end. I use Tidus, Auron and Yuna. You don't need Lulu, trust me. I use her only when facing enemies like elements and stuff, but even then, you don't need her. Oh, and try to steal from every enemy you face. Bosses and normal enemies alike. The two best parties are either Tidus, Auron & Yuna, or Tidus, Auron and Rikku. Trust me.

Oh, again, other tip: whether you beat this boss by leveling up or not: level! If I read correctly, you are beating Seymour for the third time, and that would be at the top of Mount Gagazet. When you reach Zanarkand, you will face the most annoying boss of the entire game (no, not the last boss, you're not done yet). You need to level up, and god I hope you can create some statusproof items, mainly confuseproof and darkproof.

AuthenticM

The part about switching characters making them level slower is 100% untrue. Let's say you fight a monster with only 1 character and you earn 2000 AP. If you switch and use 2 characters, they will BOTH gain 2000 ap. If you use all 7, they will ALL gain 2000 ap.

The best advice you could give anyone when playing this is to use every character in every battle, otherwise you'll be too low levelled.

Don't give players false advice.

The "best" party is tidus, auron, yuna, lulu, wakka, rikku, and kimahri. Never, EVER select a special 3 unless you wanna get beaten down later in the game.

The only game I've ever bought and regret buying is God of War. I found it for $20 and I wish every time I look at it I could get the $20 back..

I can't go as far as to say it's the WORST GAME, due to the fact that there have been probably 300 games I've looked at and simply refused to even try because it's either not my kind of game, or it is just downright poor. At least with god of war it looked interesting enough for me to buy it, though it fell short of being great, or even good.

That being said, I have nothing against the genre, as some of my favourite games are dmc and ninja gaiden.

It all depends on the size. ps2 is not hd compatible, so having an hd tv won't make any difference whatsoever. Just cause the tv is hd doesn't mean everything is HD. In order to have HDTV you need to buy hd cable. In order to have HD games you need a special cable for it, which doesn't exist for the ps2.

If the tv you're buying is big, it will look absolutely disgusting, especially ff12. The cutscenes look amazing, but the game is so horribly blocky it's hard to make out what Vaan is even wearing unless you do a closeup.

I tried to trade in my Forza 2 motorsport for x360 in there but it had a "not for resale" imprint on the back. They refused it. That being said, they can get in a lot of trouble for selling you a game in that fashion, because they've just sold you a game that you can never sell anywhere else.

Take it back, if they refuse, then ask for the manager. Make a big deal out of this.

Replay the second mission a few times to get some more red orbs for life, or some more moves. I'm hoping at this point you have stinger lv1 at least.

The best way to get better is not to just barely squeeze by with the use of healing. Punish yourself and you'll get good. Don't use any potions, and if you think you're gonna win but it'll be a close match, let him kill you until you totally smack him up. I won't finish a boss off unless I've totally beat the hell out of it. it sounds crazy but it makes you really good reallllly fast.

Every attack a boss makes follows a distinct unique sound or movement. So try to connect those. Drill the sounds into your brain and memorize what attacks he will use after each sound, and your movements will click.

Also, try putting the game on turbo mode. Sounds crazy, but for some people (like me) the game actually got EASIER on turbo because my fingers would just go on their own and I would act without thinking.

That's... Strange. I've only been caught by her kiss of death once, and it was my first time so I had no idea she was going to use it. After I saw it, it never happened again. I don't see what's so hard about dodging it. You...Move away, and if she gets to close then you jump :S

I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I really don't see how everyone's having such issues with this.

If you're referring to missing jobs, the ninja and viking and everything else is in this game as well, it's just that the last crystal is often overlooked. It's in that path to the crystal tower with the lava, the name escapes me. You walked right by it but took a wrong turn. Just look around there

It all depends. Single player is alright, online seems to be good now, I haven't come across many cheaters. Only 1 cheater in the past few days. But instead of playing with randoms, you can just play with friends around your skill level. If you decide to buy it, message me on here and we can play. I also have my other friend I play with now so we can all play together.

My friend is a beginner too so I play without using turbo boost at all so the matches usually end up pretty even. You're more than welcome to join us, we play usually every night for an hour or two.

In terms of the people who say this game is "okay", they mean in general gaming. In terms of mario kart games this is the best on any system. It wasn't as big of a hit as the snes and n64 games cause the concept is getting really old. But in terms of quality, this is the best mario kart game as of now.

i would love to see another Animal Crossing, another F-Zero, a new Star Fox (shooter, not adventure... but hey! a hybrid would be awesome) and an Alien Hominid would be pretty cool too

so
what about you guys?

pikma

Actually, you'll be happy to hear that an animal crossing for Wii is in fact coming out, I believe late this year. :)
