I Just uploaded a video completing mission 1 impossible. I was cheated big time, but made it through. I will name my 1st 2 troop that leveled up after you guys. Im going to try like hell to keep you alive..lol

Have you guys tried it out yet? !@#$ is fun but damn sure seems really impossible. I tried maybe like 20 times but cant beat mission 1. No matter how you possition your troops they will be shot in the face. The best game I had, I didnt break the fog of war, fought 1 group at a time. If you get more then 1 group its GG.

It seem like only Luck will get you through the amount of times you get lucky is not enough to beat the game. I think the Devs blowing smoke about 2 of them beating it

100% I dont think thats true, but what ever.

I have missed 4 50% chances making the % un true. Not sure but dice roll seems more likely.

Try getting to the 5 month just to fail shooting down all alien crafts, because i didnt research my aircrafts enough, I was to worried about leveling troops and gear. results in a game over.

Troops are nothing really, its all about research. your rookies can come in and do just fine if you have the Tech. Its just nice to have more skills to help survival but not needed. Its all about tactics and luck

You learn this playing classic mode.

Play on normal you will get a handle on things just as I did, just hang in there. This game is designed for you to fail, it wouldnt be Xcom otherwise. Take your time, dont spread out to far, protect your peices like chess.

Dont play easy mode, normal ironman. you will play more causiously.

I had a few myself. Its so awesome to have it work out for you like that. Just remember, stuff will happen like that in reverse.

My sniper was in 20+ missions had 63 kills, he never missed a shot.

I was moving along like I normaly do, a group of beserkers with guns come out, my sniper takes one out from overwatch. 1 moves in takes a shot and hits my sniper with a crit from the flank. No prob, I move in with my asault and kill the beserker on the flank. Now I move my Support in to heal my sniper. fog of war breaks another group of beserkers come out. My Assault soldier Panics and shoots my sniper in the face, He is now gone forever.

It was the 4th time I started over and I have yet to find a better Sniper.

So then I asked myself, Why in the hell did you turn on ironman. WHHHYYY??? WHHYYYYY???

I find the terror mission pretty easy now, my problem was that I didnt research weapons fast enough, I was going for armor.

You guys gotta remember everything is random, some people will be in a world of hurt and some will walk through it like cake. When I started the terror mission, I was gifted with two groups of cryslids and no lazer weapons, those suckers move far. I did a preety good job with my Tactics but a miss shot is brutal.

Smart AI: I got them down to two, things were looking in my favor even after I lost two of my own. One cryslid retreat. I went in to flank the other breaking the fog of war just to see one more cryslid and a zombie. So I proceeded to shoot the cryslid in the face and missed, my other two soldiers needed to reload at this point. They closed in on me GG and I'm pissed..Lol

But anyway, now that im good at that, more evil lurks Mid game. Mind Control, Beserkers(move in closer when you shoot them), beserkers with guns, Giant robots that can shoot twice and always have a low chance to hit them, even if there big as @@$%. In late game it seems like you miss more.

Well Game Over for me again, starting a new game. This game is brutal and I love every minute of it. Its just like old times, only this time around I will be victorious.

I do just fine until I hit the terror missions.

I rolled the same squad for 9-12 missions. I decided to take my what I thought was my elite squad in a terror mission and bamm! whole squad dead. should I start over? or can I rebound from having my whole squad wiped out? I tried to play a mission after that and my rookies was not getting the jod done.

Im stuck at the very first terror Mission, played up to this point 2x now and im having the same prob. Im playing normal Ironman mode. I refuse to play with ironman off. Smart ass AI/hacks kicking my butt.

I think I need early plasma and laser guns, Crystlids are strong and a pain.
