All this Mass Effect 3 carnage got me thinking about KOTOR. It was the total package. Sprawling story, great characters and some real closure when it was over. Was thinking about starting Mass Effect again and playing on through 3, but I may just go back and enjoy some KOTOR instead.
The only thing I had against Mass Effect 3 is that I just didn't get emotionally hooked like the first two games. I really can't put my finger on what it was, but there were some MAJOR events in the game that just made me say "Meh" when they happened. It was a fun game and they did a good job fixing a few complaints that fans had, but overall, the story just wasn't up there with the first game, much less the second. Perhaps it was the lack of character specific missions for your companions. Or perhaps it was because no matter what I had done in the first two games, the finale played out the same. I saw that one coming, but still no less disappointing. I am growing to dislike Bioware, however. Not sure if EA is to blame, or if they just see the path they're on as being the most lucrative. Either way, I'm probably not going to be playing whatever their next title is supposed to be.
Just so long as it doesn't introduce a whole slew of bugs I'll upgrade, but I'm going to give it a good month or so after it's released, don't particularly like reinstalling operating systems.
Nice one, a year and a couple of months late, but not bad at all. The price seems right on this one, but not really sure how heat is going to play, but the performance is still there, really hope Nvidia can come up with a single GPU solution with it's 9 series, though.
TV output may actually get me to buy some UMD movies. Not sure about the new disk drive, however, looks pretty cheap in comparison to the original model.
Well, certainly took a while to get some credit considering that you can see HLs influence on just about any shooter that's been released since it came onto the scene. Still one of the best shooters I've ever played, it may look dated now, but the AI still puts up an impressive fight. Definetly formed an impressive world to be a part of as well as having tons of play time while never really getting old. Hats off to Valve, keep the hits coming. No rush, either, everything you guys have released is pure gold in my eyes, always worth the wait.
