@golakers08 @PoofMaester Agreed. Even small additions and tweaks can have a significant impact. Also if it works why try to reinvent the wheel? There will be new story elements and the combat in the game is so diverse in the first place you could still get creative with the system that is in place. I will play this game and I know as long as it plays as well as the last two, I will enjoy it immensely.
@Slvrshot @ahpuck Which is still a lot more than MS showed.... Perhaps that is why they aren't talking about the XB1 in the wake of Gamescom. What was sad is MS was a no show, not that GS decided not to manufacture coverage for them.
@Slvrshot Apparently so.... Sony is showing why it has been a major force in the console market since it started with the PS1. The willingness to bring diversity to games and not rest on the dudebro pew pew headshot here backstab there FPS games (yet they still have them) to smack people over the head with. The PS brand has always been about games and lots of em.
Sure many indie games lack the 'flair' of the AAA titles but they are in a sort of renaissance of sorts. Lots of cool and fun games out there right now and Sony is trying to ensure we can all get our hands on them.
Oh and the ability to play AC4 or most any PS4 game through a PS Vita is friggen cool.

If people want to study this they don't need tax-payer funding. Get private funding from groups who support the research and then do it. And don't try telling me that government research isn't partisan or more objective because that too is nonsense.
The only fear I have is that this will once again be a waste of good money.
@6orange6 Used games don't damage the industry in any way no matter how new or old a game is. With piracy one copy of a game is illegally replicated and made available to the masses (or even a single individual) without the surrender of the original disc. Therefore for the 1-1 million people who use that pirated file only 1 copy is actually sold. With a used game for every used game there has been one new sale. Any business no matter what it is can only expect to compensated for that 1 disc sold.
Consumers should buy whatever version they deem is appropriate. If someone likes saving 5 bucks over retail they should do that. There is no need for people to feel guilty about saving some hard earned cash to make some obscure developer happy.
