Yeah, Sniper Elite did all of this first. Nothing that new. It does look pretty though.

As a fan, and owner, of the PS3 and soon to be PS4, this article really hit all the nails on the head. Everything that Microsoft is doing right, is what Sony needs to start implementing, just in their own way. We know it can be done. The biggest issue when the PS3 first came out was definitely the price. Sony better get it right this time.

Of course there are similarities between this game and GoW. Everyone compared the first one to a blend of GoW+Ocarina of Time. ALL games borrow/use elements from other games, whether you like it or not. GoW was not the first game to come up with all/most of these mechanics. They just did it very well.
