@gz_510: People that make these kinds of attacks look wildly insecure to the outsider. I'd say you are jealous of his job but from the latter part you obviously have some issues related to how women perceive you.

@shreddyz: That's definitely not mass produced and is definitely not molded plastic. In fact I'm certain every single sentence in that comment is wrong.

@Lach0121: Not sure if you mean the combat system or how it felt, but the first Witcher used the Neverwinter Nights engine, which I imagine was a pain in the ass for getting real time combat to function well.

@imajinn: It was a different project with a different scope 10 years ago. Being disappointed is understandable, but people acting like they owe it to them right now even though it's clearly not done is ridiculous.

@jonnybrownieboy: They lied to you? Really? Things didn't work out, get over it. Gamers seem to have a tendency to be whiny bitches no matter what.

People whine when studios rush games out, and then whine when they hold them back to refine them. Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine.

@dani_i89: "You don't need to understand the complexities of algorithms or procedural generation to understand that those are tools that undermine the essence of what makes open world/exploration games so damn intriguing."

Give it some time and I guarantee you'll be eating those words. Being able to utilize these tools while upholding the essence you're referring to is possible, and it'll take projects like this one to make progress toward doing so.

EDIT: I think you probably also underestimate the amount of automation technology that goes into games that don't have such a heavy focus on procedurally generated worlds. If you think every rock and texture was laid out by hand in Battlefront or The Witcher 3 then you're crazy. This is highly relevant.

@valgua1977: I don't care if you like or don't like it. This post is directed at people that claim to understand procedural generation but don't acknowledge the feat achieved with this game.

Oh man, I didn't know they taught procedural generation and advanced algorithms in junior high school. Some of you sure seem to know all about it. We get it, you're bummed that you had your daddy buy you something that you didn't research and that you thought was something it was never advertised to be. Now go to bed, you have school in the morning.
