I can't help but wonder how a game that's not even released, scores a 9...but High on Life's (HOL) review isn't anywhere to be seen. Is this commercial bias? The developers didn't pay "Tribute" to Gamespot?
I'm enjoying the discovery of what HOL has to offer. I can already tell you I wouldn't recommend it for children, as the language is salty.
That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying the hilarious dialog. The graphics/animations are superb. Art is top-notch.
If I was a bonafide reviewer, I'd give it a rating of 8 out of 10 stars. The adult language is the markdown, as parents may not want their kids to play it...I live in Utah, we're pretty conservative.
Ancient gamer here. I wouldn't necessarily be listing all of the titles. I remember all of the "vaporware" of the 1980s game crash debacle. I think you should have pared the list to the titles without TBA.
Thanks for this article. Folks don't realize the BIG,BIG money video game revenue generates. A lawsuit in BRAZIL???!!!! Times sure have changed in the past 40 years!
Personally, I perceive this as a natural evolution and a healthy battle for the gaming industry.
This is a "twofer" article: It's an in-depth review and a DEEP perspective I greatly appreciate. I will likely acquire this game at some point, thanks mainly to author's accomplishment.
My patience and obstinance finally paid off, as I picked up a Series X last week. It was at one of my local chain grocery/department stores, Smith's Marketplace (Kroger/Fred Meyer). It's stores like these which are frequently overlooked but still run out fairly quickly...
