for all the ps3ers, share your reasons why you exclusively chose the PS3, instead of the 360, or the Wii. I would say because it simply has more potential, and people like David Cage have their eyes on PS3, this could lead to an era of sophisticated video games, with alternative and experimental game play mechanics for the ps3. games inspired by David cages vision, what are your thoughts?

[QUOTE="Xbot_720"][QUOTE="RJay123"]

Wouldn't that make sense....that God should come down and answer all our questions and tell us what he really wants once and for all? I mean he doesn't have to come here for long, maybe just chill on Earth for a month to answer questions, then go back to heaven once we understand better.

Communist_Soul

There are several reasons that I can think of, but I'm sure there are more: 1. In 1000 years, people will be asking the same question as you: "why doesn't God come clarify a few things?" God has done this already. His name was Jesus Christ. Mankind tends to forget, misunderstand, and confuse itself on multiple occassions. 2. God does not have to prove anything to YOU. You have to prove yourself to God.

Why can't he just pop another half-god down to tell us prove to us god exists; every thousand years so missed the new person.Wait- I've found are new prophet.(language and nudity)

if god proved he exists, we'd all be enslaved to him. Christians teach all about god giving us freedom to choose, otherwise, that's not love... if we have no choice but to accept God ruling over our lives.

Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 also, you may have regretted getting MGS4, but play the first 3 metal gear solid games, you won't regret doing that.

i love blood and gore. not because it looks cool, but its REALITY. if you shoot a guy in the head with a sawn of shotgun, it wont be pretty. games like fallout and soldier of fortune are just showing what will happen if you shoot a guy in the head. hell, id say its a GOOD thing that they have so much blood. games like MOH are bad, because you dont see blood, yet war is a sick, horrible, bloody thing. Soldier of Fortune just shows war for what it is, sick, bloody, gratuitous and evil. and they don't sugar coat it, simply because some mother wants to ban violent games, even though she lets her under aged son play gory video games. well good on you, soldier of fortune, keep it real. keep it gory.

everybody should be motivated to keep on living, because everybody in this forum has opportunity to make it big. i am motivated because i make music, it might help me become famous one day, its unlikely, but if theres a chance, its better to take that chance instead of killing myself. because everybody ends up being glad that theyre alive. and, id rather have a horrible life, than a boring, meaningless life

id say because god doesn't wanna play Mommy god would probably be pissed off, because he gave us the ability to love, and all we do is make up silly excuses for doing the wrong thing. if there is a god, i really wouldnt be suprised if he was like "f*** this" as for starvin kids in africa, america could help africa out so much, yet we'd rather build bombs and wage war against Iraw because they gotz teh OILZ we have everything we need to help starvin people, but we'd rather blame god, humans need to grow up and quit blaming god for problems that we are mainly the cause of

also, i might add that there are no real questions we need to know left. there's where did we come from, but we don't need to know that to live meaningful lives. any remaining questions are simply man's foolish attempt at making progress simply for the sake of making progress. christians who need help with things like jealousy, depression, anger, anxiety, read the bible. it has answers to those problems, hell, the good news translation bible even has a list of paragraphs to read when your experiencing various issues, heres an example "Where to look in the bible:" bear a grudge - luke 6; 2 have experienced severe losses - colossians 1; 1 are sick or in pain - psalms 6, 39, 41 etc.. you get the idea

[QUOTE="BungleJunkie"]The meaning of life is to pass down your wisdom to the next generation. one good deed at a time, one good act of intelligence at a time. this is the way of ultimately making the human race more enlightened.MystikFollower

I like that idea. Unfortunately the blatantly obvious advancements and evolutions that would need to take place across this entire planet are not at the point where they need to be for that to happen yet. And we skirt the dangerous line between technology and understanding. We have the ability to completely destroy ourselves now, but do we have the higher intelligence that comes with that power? Many would argue no. It's a "with great power comes great responsibility" thing.

The changes that would need to be made to our society to achieve what we say we are aiming to be asa culture, are far beyond us at this point. It's not a judgment it's just an observation. We are unfortunately still a very primitive society. Everyone knows in their hearts the things they see every day. The death, the degradation, and pain of others. The blatant abuse of our precious ecosystems, the mistrust, the advancement of the wealthy while the poor are left to suffer. This planet needs a change in consciousness if it's to avoid destroying itself. These are precarious times for us as a people and until we understand that we are ONE (spriitually and physically), we will still base our society on separation and selfishness. I believe that shift will come though. Hopefully before things get to bad...

exactly, yet the wisdom that comes with those dynamics are absent. a wise person wouldn't want to mess with nature, i believe. and another would use biological warfare for their own reasons. wisdom and intelligence are different, wisdom is more of an understanding, where intelligence is simply an elaborate system of thinking.

atheism simply means you dont believe in god or lack reason to believe in god. people who dont believe in ghosts, spirits or anything apart from good science are called "materalists" (not materialistic as in a stupid scene chick, it has two meanings) atheists can believe in ghosts, like buddhists. you can be a religious atheist. not all religions are based of deities (creator god) and remember, this thread is not debating against atheism, its asking what atheists think of spirits.
