What Game Purchase Did You Regret? Biggest Waist? Rise of the argonauts Ps3. Wolf2991
Hard to narrow down to one, but I'll go with Rainbow 6 vegas: looked horrible on my sdtv, almost like a ps2 game. completely ruined the experience so I ended up selling it :(
far cry 2 ...
i didnt spend much money on it .but was the worst game ive played in a long time
thats just me though.,..not my kinda game i guess
Warhawk and Streetfighter4. With Warhawk, I hated the 3rd person camera and the controls for planes. With SF4, I just sucked. Well, even beyond that, I still thought the length of the game wasn't worth the 70$ CAD (plus tax) i used to buy it. Very overrated too, especially because I thought the art direction was a total fail, the focus attack was disjointed (didn't seem to fit in) with that artstyle, and the focus attack wasn't the best replacement for the parry system of SF3: 3rdstrike. Plus, alot of the slick 2d animation of SF3, alot of the jazzy, cool soundtrack of SF3, and alot of the cool, stylish characters of sf3 were absent. SF4was feeding off nostalgic characters in order to be successful. In all due fairness tho, the gameplay was balanced. That's it.
Dirt 2 was the most recent game I bought that I wasted $50 bucks on. I'm sure it's a fun game, but just couldn't get into it and I wasn't really impresed with the graphics. Looked too clean and not gritty enough for an off road game. Also, I was expecting GT5 Prologue on dirt tracks, but the controls were not as tight.
Other games I bought this year and haven't even made it out of the first level are
Condemned 2- I just completed some GotY candidates before playing this one and felt the game was very underwhelming.
Metal Gear Solid 4- Never played a Metal Gear game before (ya, you read that right) and I didnt know who was who and what went on before. I even downloaded that MGS database thing on Playstation network and read the online wiki but those only helped slightly. I know it's probably a great game but I said, "ahh, the hell with it."
Killzone 2- This game seemed pretty generic and I haven't played a fps on a console in a long time so I lost interest pretty fast. Lately, I'm starting to hear more about how it's a very good game so I may need to fire this one up again.
The two games I regret spending money on the most are "Pirates of The Carribean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow" it was cheap, I was looking for something multiplayer and I had a moment of weakness because I liked Pirates of The Carribean and I forgot that games tied to movies tend to suck in a big way.
The second is F.E.A.R - another one I got when it was going cheap but it's still money I could have spent somewhere much better. F.E.A.R may be the most disappointing game I've ever played. Such a shame.
I just love it when somebody lists a bunch of games and says they're a waste or that they regret buying them. And then they go on to mention how they haven't played past the first level or put any time in to the game. Seriously, what's the point of giving an opinion when you haven't experienced enough of the game to form one.
Anyways, back on topic, the only PS3 game I've regretted so far was picking up "Tony Hawk's Project 8", which I got on launch. I loved the previous titles, but this one just wasn't any fun. Unfortunately, the series is dead. They need to go back to what made the early THPS great and build on that, without any of these unnecessary accessories.
So someone has to spend hours playing or beating the game to give an opinion on why it was a waste? If you want a review I see your point, but go somewhere else. The TC asked for games purchased that were a waste. These are opinions on why one person didnt care for certain games. I listed games that I didnt play much of for various reasons, and my OPINION is they were a waste of my money.I just love it when somebody lists a bunch of games and says they're a waste or that they regret buying them. Tom Clancy's End War and Soul Calibur IV.
End War sounded awesome in theory, but I had to yell to get it to work (using the official Sony headset) and once I got used to that and using the button commands, it still sucked, because it was just a big game of rock, paper, scissors. Also, being matched against people with tons of upgrades online when you have the most basic stuff is kinda crappy.
Soul Calibur IV was pretty disappointing all around. I loved SC II and didn't really get to play III, so I figured I'd pick up IV and it'd be awesome. It was mediocre at best... It took me a couple days to get bored of it, and this is a game I picked up with my PS3. I did buy MGS4 at the same, but it's not like I didn't have SC moods, the game just wasn't up to snuff. I also got Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction bundled with my PS3 and have yet to open it... I'm sure it's great, but there have been too many good games for the small amount of time I have to play. :(
Probably this, although I haven't played more than 2 minutes of it. Probably never will the lack of JRPG's made me do it :(Cross Edge. Not a very good game.

probably Resistance 2. I played the campaign once and online 4-5 hours tops and haven't touched it since.
Probably Borderlands. I like the idea of it and loved it when I first got it. I then forgot about it and started playing it again the other day and it was too slow for me.
Uncharted 2. Yeah that's right I said it I meant it i'm here to represent it wanna fight about it? but no really I didn't like that much, there's games i've hated more but I haven't spend as much on them as Uncharted 2 so Uncharted 2 wins as biggest waste.
Also this but Sonic Unleashed still could of been so much more without the Werehog.Resistance Fall of Man, I fell for it, the hype and the positive reviews had me fooled. Resistance was a bad game that had positive reviews, Sonic Unleashed was a good game that had negative reviews. I've learned never to trust critics.
